Q: Adding personal intervention points - see SEOpital
This is a great app .. but the weak point is the flow. It would be really helpful to be able to add personalisation beyond writing an intro and anecdotes at the beginning. To add personal elements or preferences to chapters or even section would be very helpful. The best example is a blog writing tool on here called SEOPital (not easy to say or write) .. but the flow is very powerful. I would recommend checkout their main video. These more detailed points of interaction will make a big difference - you know more as you go through the process - but at the moment you just have to wait to see what come out.
A: Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback and for the kind words! Really appreciate it 😊
You're absolutely right: adding more opportunities to personalize the content as you go through the process (beyond just the intro and anecdotes) would make a big difference.
We’re currently working on a more interactive experience with the outline, where you’ll be able to engage more deeply - quite similar to the flow like the one in SEOpital. The goal is to let you guide the content at the chapter and section level before generation, so it feels much more like a collaboration than a handoff.
More to come soon and thanks again for the great suggestion!
Love that you added a new tier for 10 books a month.
• Have you considered one for 20+ or even unlimited?
Here's why, more than 3 bullet points and more than 10 chapters.
I know this is structured all around nonfiction but there's a lot with 10-12+ chapters and not all biz.
• How about 4 or 5 subchapter points vs just 3? • How about unlimited subchapter points (or at least some obnoxiously high 2-digit number, or perhaps even 3-digit?)
How about 12,15, 21+ chapters?
• Have you considered an unlimited LTD plan?
Lastly,
• will I be able to add my own content in BEFORE the writing so it has more to grab on to?
Blogs, articles, lectures, etc vs it writes 100% of it based off whatever its getting content from. I'd prefer its my actual words and this simply accelerates the process between classes.
A: Thanks so much for the detailed feedback, we really appreciate the thought you’ve put into this!
Right now, the structure (8 chapters, 3 subchapters per chapter) is designed to keep the output clean, high-quality, and easy to edit. That said, we’re actively exploring more flexibility, like allowing more chapters and additional subchapter points in future updates.
As for higher or unlimited tiers, you’re spot on: Tier 4 already allows 10 full books per month, and we’ve found that very few users hit that limit. So in practice, it’s already pretty close to an unlimited for life experience for most people. But we hear you!
On your last point: Yes, personalization is a big part of our process. After you’ve generated your outline and are ready to create your book, you’ll be prompted to write part of a draft chapter. This helps us not only include your content, but also emulate your tone of voice, writing style, and wording. We also prompt you to add a few personal anecdotes, which are woven into the chapters to make the book truly feel like yours. But to your actual point, then yes, we’re also working on ways to let you inject your own material (blog posts, articles, transcripts, etc.) so the AI can build from your actual content/documents.
Q: Will there ever support for fictional books option?
I know that this product is currently designed for non-fictional books, but is there a plan on the roadmap to expand this to include fictional books as well?
Thanks for the question! You’re right—First Book ai is built specifically for non-fiction business books, and that’s where our focus remains. We don’t currently have plans to support fiction in the next couple of updates, as we’re committed to delivering the best possible experience for business-focused authors.
That said, we always appreciate your feedback and ideas—feel free to reach out to us at hello@firstbook.ai if you’d like to share more about what you’re hoping to see.
At the moment, our focus is purely on helping users create full-length books, and we’re continuing to improve the experience around that. We currently don’t have plans to branch out into other types of content writing like film or TV scripts.
Appreciate the suggestion though - it’s always helpful to hear what users are looking for!
Q: Supercharged
If I get tier 4 will I still need to pay for the “supercharged” feature?

Q: Will this software branch out?
Will this software eventually be able to writing like scripts or plays, etc?

Apr 4, 2025A: Hi Julius,
Thank you for your question. Yes, the goal is to enable for other types of books - both genres and we’ve also discussed scripts.
Hope this helps.

I meant like film and TV scripts, not like manuscripts for books. Will that happen?
