Q: Feature Request: Surgical AI Control vs. The "Slot Machine" Rewrite (2/3)
Regarding editing: The global "Rewrite" button currently feels like a slot machine—I pull the lever and hope, but I risk losing the 80% I already liked. I’ve invested to see if I can get real ownership over the output.
In my current Frase.io workflow, I rely on "surgical edits." I highlight a passage and prompt: "Refine this based on this study" or "Use a metaphor about [X] here." This precision is vital. A global chapter rewrite is too random when I only need to tweak a specific detail.
Will you allow for passage-based AI edits with specific instructions? Instead of blind rewrites, I want to guide the AI with context for each change. I want to own every sentence, and that requires the tool to respect the specific instructions I give for every "surgical" edit. (2/3)
