Not the worst purchase I've ever made but...
In my experience using this product, it doesn't work. Also, the feature set for one code is lousy for Sumolings- not that it matters when the product doesn't work at all. The experience:
Bought the code and redeemed easily. 5 tacos.
Uploaded my pdf to create a flipbook. I open the flipbook. The pages do not turn, the sound effects are awful (couldn't find a way to turn them off), zero response on the screen and then...my whole computer froze.
Thought it was odd but maybe just needed a restart. To be clear, my daily driver is a high-end Chromebook that has almost never given me issues.
Nonetheless, I restarted with a refresh, went back to Flipbooklets, grabbed the embed code and placed it. Cool. Flipped thru a couple of pages then only half of the flipbook would show up, and the screen became unresponsive again. I waited, the computer gave me black screen and automatically restarted.
So zero tacos.
If it worked, I might have given it 3 tacos ad here is why (based on one code):
-No color branding options
-Their logo is on everything
Again, if it worked, you might as well just use a free version of a more established product (there are lots!). Wish I had purchased Heyzine when I had the chance.

I'm glad it wasn't the worst purchase you've ever made. A small win at least 💪
It's good that the code redeption process was easy too, we wanted to make it as easy breezy as possible.
Secondly, I can only apologise that your PDF didn't work in FlipBooklets. You mentioned that you have never had an issue like this before, that makes two of us! After almost 3 years and 6000+ users and testing FlipBooklets on thousands of devices we've never experienced this either! I am almost certain this is either down to something corrupt in the PDF (because we keep them live for searching and SEO) or maybe even your computer, although this is less likely the caseblooms.
But, what was really a shame is that we have had no contact from you regarding any issues. We would have worked tirelessly to resolve your issue if given the chance (regardless if you wanted to refund the deal or not). We are dedicated to the product and will always do what we can to help our users be those free or paid.
Regarding the branding, yes, there is minimal branding on there as we don't sell your data, we don't show ads, we have the branding instead. We were very up front about the use of branding (see founders intro and FAQs) and have even given an example of it in one of the screenshots above (in the screenshot "Check out the finished Flip Book"), there is small purple icon in top left, powered by FlipBooklets bottom right), that is the only branding on there.
I think your 3 taco review is fair, we hold our hands up on the old 1 and 2 code deals... they were not great! We understand the extra code was very "light" on value so we've increase the features (but are currently waiting for them to go live on here). The 2 code deal now gives you an increased limit of 75mb per book, removes branding and changes the icon and background colours).
It would be really great if you're able to send over your PDF so we are to take a look to see what may be causing the issue and resolve it. Better yet, please send the link to the embedded FlipBook that wasn't working for you so we can test. We will run it through our test suite which covers 20 operating systems, hundreds of setups and thousands of devices (including low end mobiles and tablets). We will take a look straight away to see what's happening then feedback to you. We don't like unhappy Sumo-lings and want to help.

I can't argue about Heyzine the customisation is great. Our target market is for those that don't need the functionality to edit and add to the PDF once uploaded.
