I was a little hesitant to purchase FlipBooklets based upon the limited number of reviews - nine as of the time of this writing. Boy, am I glad I did. This software is fantastic!! It is beautiful in both form and function and I am quite impressed. My specific use case involves wanting to offer customers a digital version of our product training manual. The manual is something we charge for and typically ship in hardcopy form to customers. We have always wanted to access it digitally, but the problem has been how to prevent customers from just taking the pdf file, copying it, sending it to colleagues, etc.

FlipBooklets solves this problem for me. With FlipBooklets, I can host the pdf of our manual on our webpage behind a paywall. Customers can read through the manual online but cannot download it. Perfect! The developer (Ben) has been responsive and kind as well. I asked Ben if he could prevent users from printing the contents of the manual from the webpage and he quickly implemented something that prevents the content from printing.

The last thing I will say about FlipBooklets is that it looks elegant and functions smoothly. The user can "flip" through the pages of my PDF like a book; there is even a subtle "page turning" sound effect which makes it feel polished. The booklet can be zoomed and tilted like a book as well, if desired. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality; most SAAS on AppSumo tends to be rough around the edges and the UI clumsy. Not so in this case. The only feature I'm hoping for is the ability to make the pdf full screen and viewable as a single page. Well done Ben and FlipBooklets, you have a winner!
