samuelservicesQ: Hi there, Tried the trial and found your product a bit buggy.
Tested half an hour and came up with:
- black-screen after starting webcam
- no option to stop recording going to an other tab
- bring to back / bring to front does not work - so overlay buttons or other video does not work (found out this works by dragging and dropping in order in timeline but what is the use of "bring to back" option clicking with right mouse?)
- could not change the default webcam used but screen of this (wrong chosen) webcam does not go way unless I refresh the page (losing edits).
Missing options:
- webcam in screen (standard option in all video editors I know - like screen-o-matic or Filmora)
- autosave (needed to restart because of some bugs and needed to start all over - tested 4 times)
- annotations during recording (like Clapboard)
But your product looks promising (I would not send in a question if not) so my question is: why does it feel like your product just launched? Did it? Can we expect improvement in the short run? And still, you said it would be a comparison between oranges and apples to compare screen-o-matic with Flixier but these are fruits. Think an comparison should help. Screen-o-maric seems to have the same cloud options as you have......

Thanks a lot for trying it out and sending this.
- We will definitely look into the webcam issues, as there are a lot of computers and setups around we couldn't possibly test for everything but we will definitely check it out. Please write us in the in-app chat to get into more specifics about this.
- Bring to back/front is for items on the same track because you can actually overlap them there too. It is true that the main order of the items is dictated by their position in the timeline, higher up means that the item is in front in the canvas.
- Autosave is something we are working on right now :)
The tool was actually launched around a year ago, and we know there are things that need to be improved but we are committed 100% to do it. As for the other features we will add them to the requested features list.
Comparing it with screencast-o-matic, I still think there is a huge difference. I really don't see their cloud features. Flixier processes and renders your files in the cloud and you are not bound by your hardware, think of it like a Google Stadia for video editing. This is what cloud powered means :)
