I spent HOURS debating if this deal was worth it in my head, so I think I owe a review of my experience thus far. I'm a solopreneur right now, but hope to grow the team at some point- nonetheless, I was torn between the AppSumo deal and the regular plan on the Flixier. The idea of a lifetime deal is very appealing, but for $10/month on the Flixier site, you get unlimited storage, which is also a great deal. Ultimately I decided to go for a lifetime deal, and I think it's going to serve me very well.

I don't do a ton of videos, but I occasionally put videos together for social media. I've done a few 10-12 minute videos through Adobe Premiere Pro in the past, and the rendering time is an absolute nightmare. Exporting a video makes my Macbook sound like it's going to explode every single time and takes hours, so a cloud-based solution is very appealing to me.

With Flixier, I editing and exported a video in about 30 minutes, and it was SO easy. The video is about 6 minutes long, and I was able to add simple video effects and free music in a breeze, and the export took less than 5 minutes. Plus, my computer didn't sound like it was going to blast off into space. The 6 minute video ended up taking up 1GB out of 40GB plan (less than 3%) but I know that once this project is behind me, I can delete those original clips and free the space back up. Seems like 40GB is going to go a long way for me, but it looks like Flixier customer support is super responsive, so if I ever need to upgrade, I think they'll make it very seamless.

If I had one criticism right now, it's that if you cut a video clip, you can't fix the gap that is created in the timeline without manually dragging. I removed 2 minutes of video in the middle of my project, and I had to keep clicking and dragging across the timeline until the newly trimmed clips met. Maybe it's easy and I just missed how to do it, but that was my only issue so far.
