Maybe Flonnect is great, but unfortunately, Flonnect makes it VERY hard to work with š

Unfortunately, working with Flonnect is VERY frustrating.
1st, unfortunately, you can't select a custom area on the screen to record. You are required to select a window, a browser tab, or the entire screen for recording.
š 1. Ironically, Flonnect is designed to create tutorials. But Flonnect apparently can't manage to use its own product to create tutorials showing how to work with Flonnect
š„“ 2. There is a ādemoā video, but it's 100% useless. Just marketing fluff.
ā ļø 3. With the license, you can make 30 or 100 videos per month. While you try to figure out how to use Flonnect, youāve probably already made 20 completely useless test recordings.
⯠Videos that are < 60s shouldnāt count toward the āvideos per monthā quota.
š„“ 4. Flonnect has issues with terminology; sometimes it calls functions āRecord,ā sometimes it's called āShareā - and itās 100% confusing.
āļø 5. For some recordings, I have a timeline where I can edit them, but for others, this option isnāt available.
š 6. The Flonnect Dashboard doesnāt explain the difference between āScreen Record,ā āBug Report,ā āScreenshot,ā and āPresentation.ā
š± 7. If you want to select the webcam to be used in recordings, itās COMPLETELY unclear how to do it: Thereās NO option to select the webcam in the default settings.
About 10 minutes ago, I happened to stumble upon a hidden option to select a webcam (now I can't find it again) ā but it's a nightmare:
7.1) There is no webcam preview in the webcam configuration
7.2) There is also no webcam preview before you start the recording
7.3) You canāt see a webcam preview while recording either
7.4) In the recorded video... the webcam is missing
š„ 8. When you're editing a video or the timeline, there's no way to get back to the dashboard. You can't delete the Video you're editing.
āļø 9. I have three webcams, and I'm pretty sure that Flonnect isn't activating the one I selected: I can see an image in the Windows Camera app, but in Flonnect the screen is black.
š I think Flonnect has great features, but when it comes to the six most important basic functions, the usability is unfortunately a nightmare (Webcam selection, -settings, -preview. The configuration right before you start a recording. Explanations of what each function is doing and of what a setting is for (e.g., domain name for bug reportsāļø ) and consistently clear terminology.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to write such detailed feedback. We completely understand your frustration, especially since you were trying to use Flonnect productively and instead spent time figuring out workflows and settings. Your points are extremely valuable for us.
A few of the issues you mentioned sound like UX gaps, while some may also be technical issues specific to your setup. To help us investigate properly and improve the experience, could you please help us with a few details?
1. Are you currently using:
Flonnect Desktop App , Chrome Extension or a combination of these?
2. Which operating system are you using?
Windows version or macOS version
3. Regarding webcam issues:
Which recording type were you using when the webcam was missing?
- Full screen or chrome tab ?
If possible, could you share a short screen recording or screenshot showing the black webcam preview?
- Any extension including flonnect is based on chrome, so it uses devices like camera/mic from chrome.

5. Regarding the ācustom area recordingā request:
This is live now in desktop app.
6. Which terminology or labels felt most confusing to you?
Your examples around āRecordā vs āShareā were especially helpful, and we would like to improve that flow.
7. Which plan/license are you currently using?
We also appreciate your suggestion regarding recordings under 60 seconds not counting toward usage limits. But limit at this price point is quite good, if you need more pleae email us.
