One week with Tier 2: my experience with lead search
I loved the idea behind Flow. After reading 80+ positive reviews, I bought Tier 2 without hesitation and seriously considered Tier 3. A week later, I’m still struggling with the main feature I bought it for.
The advertised access to 300M+ profiles was the biggest draw. I tested it by searching for current OpenAI employees, with OpenAI selected under “Current Company.” The results included unrelated profiles. This wasn’t an obscure startup. It was a well-known company whose employees I can find through a basic LinkedIn search. That leaves me wondering how well it would handle a smaller, lesser-known business.
I tried both the dashboard and the MCP integration with my AI assistant. Neither gave me reliable results. Through MCP, I ended up with only two OpenAI employees, and the assistant used an external web search to verify them. The final answer was better, but that improvement came from research outside Flow.
Reliable lead search represents roughly half the product’s value to me. I could handle routine LinkedIn management manually or through a custom agent. Finding the right people was the part I needed Flow to deliver.
One thing I appreciate is getting support from a real person. I strongly prefer that to dealing with an AI chatbot. Tom replied and said they would investigate. However, my replies have taken around 24 hours, which is slower than the very fast support described in other reviews. They are responding, but the turnaround could be better.
This is my first-week experience, not a final verdict. I’ll update this review if the search issue is temporary and gets fixed. If it continues, I’ll request a refund through AppSumo, because this feature was my main reason for buying.

Oct 2, 2026Hey Ghazi,
Thanks for such an honest, detailed review. Really appreciate you taking the time.
You were right. With Current Company set to OpenAI, you should only see people who work there now.
We found an issue with how that filter was returning results, and it's now sorted.
Good news is our new search is also live. It basically gives you a fuller Sales Navigator-style experience, so finding the right people is faster and more accurate.
Worth knowing for anyone reading: about two weeks ago LinkedIn set a commercial use limit of 250 search results a month on basic accounts.
Whereas Premium and Sales Navigator accounts get 1,000 to 2,000+ a day. If your results look thin, that's usually why.
we've taken steps to provide all basic users a much better, richer means of finding leads that now circumvent those limits that LinkedIn recently set.
Thanks for the heads-up on reply times too. We read every message, and we're getting quicker.
I've dropper you an email so we can run your searches together. Look forward to connecting with you :)
Bye for now,
Tom
