Q: FAQ > Is Flow Mac-only?
For now, yes.
> Will there be a Windows version in the future?
We’re planning one, but don’t have a date for when it will be released.
> Can I share my license or use it on different devices?
Absolutely. Depending on the tier you purchase, you’ll be able to link 1, 5 or 10 devices to your license. You can easily unlink a device via the Flow app, or use our very handy License Manager to unlink devices as well. For example, if you want to use Flow on your home and work computers then picking up a Tier 2 deal will be perfect for you – and you’ll be able to share your remaining seats with a colleague.
> Do I need to use Sketch or Figma?
No! But we do recommend it. Our integrations with Sketch and Figma are pretty tight so they are great places to start. But, if you use other tools like Illustrator, XD, Affinity, or pretty much anything else, you can export parts of your designs as SVG files and import those into Flow. AND! You can even start from scratch in Flow if you want.
> Is Flow hard to learn?
Its so easy. Flow’s UI is made to look like a modern design tool. If you’ve used Keynote, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma or any other design tool then Flow will look and feel very familiar. Animating with Flow is as easy as updating your design, there are no complicated motion-design techniques for you to learn.
