Q: I currently operate a Microsoft Azure CloudLinux server with around 200 websites hosted on there.
It has cPanel on it also to manage those sites. What would be the best method to either:
1) Bring this into FlyWP control
2) Migrate the 200 websites off Azure, onto a new FlyWP & AWS hosted server?

May 28, 2024A: Hi Rick46,
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your server migration. Here’s a streamlined approach to migrate your 200 websites from your Microsoft Azure CloudLinux server with cPanel to FlyWP:
Assess Compatibility: Ensure your current Azure setup is compatible with FlyWP’s Docker-based infrastructure.
Containerize Websites: If your websites are not already containerized, create Docker images for each one.
Setup FlyWP on AWS: Provision the necessary AWS environment and install FlyWP.
Migrate Data: Use migration tools (such as UpDraft) to transfer your websites, databases, and files to the new environment.
Test Websites: Thoroughly test each site to confirm they function correctly on FlyWP.
Update DNS: Change your DNS records to point to the new FlyWP-managed servers on AWS.
If you need detailed guidance or assistance with any step, please let us know. We’re here to help ensure a smooth transition.

For the Migration of data, I am using Akeeba Wordpress Backup - it backs up to AWS S3, then I use Kickstart to pull it from S3 and unpack WP inside the docker container. It is working really well! It is one by one, but quick
