Great potencial but really disappointed... and support unreachable.

As a digital agency which sells SaaS softwares, Folio seemed like a great match for me and I had a lot of ideas of use for it.

Unfortunately, right now I'm very disappointed.
I didn't find the software very intuitive although it's not difficult when you understand how it works.

The two main problems for me are:
- it lacks advertized features: the biggest one is I don't have the GIF/Video export they talk about on the AppSumo page and Folio documentation. Also, they advertize the "blur" and "pan" effect but could not find the "pan". The absence of GIF/Video export really limits my usage of Folio :-(
- I bought a Tier 4 which is supposed to come with 15 user seats but I see in my interface I only have 10.
- I thought the lacking features and user seats were just a bug so I contacted the support through the contact form of the website. It was 10 days ago, to this day, I have no answer. About a week ago, I sent an email to service@folio.la (email given as contact on their website): no answer neither. Two days later, I sent an email to will.chan@folio.la, the email could not be delivered. I really did not want to go to their Discord community but did not see any other way to contact them so I went. The community is pretty much deserted: only old messages mostly saying "Hello" or some looking for solutions to bugs and not getting answers either. The worst is I think I haven't seen even one message from the Folio team on this community.

I have no idea if the software is still maintained or if there's actually an active company behind it, they're completely unreachable, whether through mail, contact form or Discord. Their socials are not updated either: last Youtube video is from 1 year ago, there was a LinkedIN post 2 weeks ago to announce their AppSumo launch but nothing since then and last post before was 9 months ago, about the same for X/twitter.

Besides this ghost company and missing core features, there is space for improvement in the software itself:
- in the screenshot recording mode, the blur function can't blur on video parts, only on fixed screenshot parts which makes it pretty useless unless you remove all the video parts (then why using a screenshot mode). Otherwise, you will blur some sensitive information and they will appear in clear when you move to an other part of the screen...
- there's very limited possibilities of template editing. For example, in html recording mode, you record screens and you can then make steps for your scenarios from those screens. If you record a long series of screens for a tutorial and then you realize your forgot one screen to show a specific feature, you cannot add a new screen to an existing template. You have to record your all scenario from scratch to have all your screens in the same template. You cannot move one screen from one template to an other, merge two templates, etc.
Also, if you made a lot of steps, you cannot export only some parts of your scenario, it's all or nothing. For this last part, the workaround could be to duplicate your template and delete some steps on the duplicated template. Possible, just not the easiest way.

In the end, I didn't find it very easy to use at first and there are limited editing possibilities but I could deal with that. The main problems for me today is the absence of GIF/Video export and the impossibility to reach anybody in the company, through any medium. This last part really destroyed my trust in the company's future. I don't even know if it's still live.
