LTD users deserve fair access to evolving LLM capabilities
As an early supporter and LTD buyer, I believe it's fundamentally unfair that we're still restricted to using the GPT-4.1 mini model while newer, more capable LLMs are rapidly emerging. The pace of AI development is exponential, and limiting LTD users to older models undermines the long-term value we were promised.
While BYOK is technically an option, it introduces complexity and cost that many users cannot reasonably absorb. Requiring additional upgrades just to access newer models feels like a bait-and-switch, especially when the original LTD offer implied ongoing access to core features.
What’s more concerning is that many of the latest AI features—those built on newer models—are completely inaccessible to LTD users. This creates a fragmented experience where LTD buyers are excluded from the most innovative parts of the platform, despite having paid upfront to support its growth.
I understand the need for sustainable business models, but platforms should honor the spirit of LTD: early adopters help fund development and should not be penalized with outdated capabilities. A fair compromise might be tiered access or rotating model availability, but locking LTD users into a static model and excluding them from new features is not aligned with the value proposition we signed up for.

Mar 25, 2026Hey — really appreciate you taking the time to write this, it’s a fair and thoughtful point.
You’re absolutely right about the pace of AI — it’s moving incredibly fast, and that creates a real challenge on our side in balancing sustainability with the expectations of LTD users who supported us early.
Just to clarify our perspective: the limitation isn’t about keeping LTD users on older models by design, but about the cost structure behind newer LLMs. As newer models come out, they tend to be significantly more expensive to run, and without a flexible add-on system in place, it’s been difficult for us to roll those out universally without breaking the economics of the platform.
That said, we fully agree with the core of your message — LTD users shouldn’t feel left behind.
We’re actively working on improving this, including exploring better ways to expand access (whether through BYOK improvements, more flexible model access, or new structures that make sense long-term).
Also, just to share where we’re focused right now: a big part of our current work is around creatives, especially carousels, which we believe can add a lot of value regardless of the underlying model. We’re putting a lot of effort there, and you should start seeing updates very soon — including releases aimed at LTD users.
We’re still building actively, and we’re listening.
