Was great... then it turned into something worse than a rug pull

Update: support confirmed it is a feature not a bug that Followr has secretly connected their stripe and branding their customers business even in white label mode.

The white label that we purchased in this deal is effectively cancelled for now. Contrary to what was said just a few hours ago as you can see below.

I was told that if you want white label (which you already paid for) you need to pay again for white label with a subscription.

I have been around since Appsumo started and I have never heard of something like this.

Hopefully Followr can get this sorted out. It does not seem to be a misunderstanding as I can't find anything on the site and people in the comments are also confused and angry.

So my main concern is that I got tier 10 specifically for white label and now they removed white label, in total silence. It is actually worse than a rug pull since they literally move your customers over to their system and it seems like you can not stop them in any way. The audacity is just stunning.

Also I am pretty sure this could be an example of what might be called misleading marketing in the EU and deceptive marketing in the USA. If you can make the case that Followr misleads their customers and their customers customers into this it could be potentially very risky for everyone involved. It is not necessarily not legal but it is a legal greyzone that would be left to a team of lawyers specialized in deceptive commerical practice.

Hopefully I can get a refund (and take a loss due to purchasing infrastructure around Followr). Otherwise perhaps they will change back to the old way.

edit: the accusation of me being not accurate or misleading is very unprofessional and rude.

Video proof and screenshots was submitted to Followr earlier today so there you have it already.

I still hope that this will be resolved and I did flag that there might be some kind of mistake on my end or somewhere else. All I say is that when I tested it multiple times it happened. I also spoke to Followrs support which was confused as well to why it happened and had no further answers.

Hey I want to address this clearly because there seems to be a misunderstanding.

We have not removed white label from any user who had access to it. If you purchased Tier 10 with white label included, that access should still be there.

so I can personally review your case — because this is definitely not expected behavior and we haven’t migrated or taken over anyone’s customers.

Also, I’d appreciate keeping the conversation accurate. Claims like “moving your customers to our system” or comparisons to a rug pull are simply not true and can be misleading for others reading this.

On the product side, we’ve actually been shipping a lot — especially around creative features like carousels, which were a long-standing request, and there’s more coming very soon.

We’re here, actively building, and committed to improving the product while supporting early users. If something isn’t working as expected, we’ll fix it — just reach out directly.
