You can publish free products on your platform without the need for the Zero Commission Addon. Only if you're looking to publish paid products, and assign access to specific members do you need the addon.

Do users added in manually through the zero commission add-on get to keep their access if we decide to no longer keep paying the monthly add-on?
I’m asking because after migrating my old users to my Forento courses, I don’t have plans on assigning courses manually and would be ok for new and future users to pay in the site and for Forento to get comissions of those sales.
Hey Jasmine. Yes, users would have the assigned access even if you unsubscribe to the addon. You won't be able to manage their access, however.
