Q: How does it work to manually add in users?

I've found previous course builder websites a bit unreliable, so I'm looking to set up an academy for which I've already sold a number of courses. Can I manually add in users? Also, sometimes I sell courses with discount deals for clients. I'd want to be able to add users in manually on an ongoing basis. How does that work with the 5-10% commission?

A: Hey katie420, thank you for the question, and great to hear you're considering Forento.

Yes, you can absolutely add users manually. There are a few ways to do it, depending on how often and how many users you need to add.

For occasional access, like testers or individual client deals, you can either:

- Add them as testers, which gives them free access to all your courses

- Share 100 percent off discount codes

For regular, ongoing manual access, like assigning access to clients after they buy from you directly, you’ll likely want to use our no commission add-on.

This add-on removes the 2 to 10 percent sales commission and gives you full control to assign or revoke access to any course for any user, right from your dashboard. It’s designed exactly for use cases like yours. Also, any sales that you do manage directly through Forento are free of sales commission fees.

The add-on costs 19 to 29 dollars per month, depending on your current plan. You’ll find full details and a helpful FAQ about it on the Billing and Plans page after redeeming your Forento account.

Let me know if you have any other questions or would like assistance signing up for the add-on. There's a live chat on our site where we are happy to help.

Thanks for the detailed response! Can I start and stop the no commission add-on? For example, could I pay for one month while I onboard my existing students then shift over? My academy doesn't generate a lot of cash flow so I'm trying to keep the ongoing cost low. I know I can purchase and see the FAQ after and get a refund if it's not a match, but I like know upfront when possible.
