Forento has received positive feedback from customers for its user-friendly backend, versatile course creation capabilities, and responsive customer support. However, some users have noted limited customization options and a desire for more payment method integrations. Despite these minor drawbacks, Forento is a solid choice for those looking for a comprehensive platform to launch courses, sell e-books, or offer coaching sessions. With a 60-day money-back guarantee, it's definitely worth trying out.

Seems pretty good but ...
After messing around with the software for an hour or two after purchasing it, I'm mostly happy with the software. I bought the 6-code level. I was a little disappointed that there is no true lifetime deal without a fee/subscription but I figured 2% of sales wouldn't be too bad. The thing that really irks me though is that there are still some features that you can't get unless you become a monthly subscriber. These are Zapier integration, manually assigning products to customers, bundling products, dripping course content, issuing certificates for courses, and having unlimited admin accounts. Since you can't assign products to customers, you can't sell individual courses. And the fact that you can't give them a certificate of completion is just ridiculous. Unfortunately I'll be refunding this.

Great for community engagement and building your own course corner or the world
You can create and build anything you want here. It has all the great fundamentals for starting and advancing. In all honesty, you could purchase today and enter your course, community, or database, in time to present tomorrow. I like the simplicity of giving access to downloads free or paid. If you are looking for a platform to make your own, then this is it!

Almost perfect
After playing around with Forento for about a week-or-so now, I believe it is safe to say that this platform was thoughtfully created.
Pros:
+ It quite possibly has everything you may need out of a platform from the front-end website builder to the course builder.
+ A big plus point that the team replies very fast when you reach out to them for any questions.
+ I was very glad to find out that I could upload my own fonts to keep with my branding. Same goes for being able to use your brand colors.
+ The website builder is very customizable that leaves a lot of leg room for your creativity.
Cons:
- Only Stripe and PayPal can be used right out gate. The fix for this is to get an add-on that allows you to collect payment using other payment methods, but then you will need another integration tool (Zapier) to automate the workflow. It seems a little too much. If you could just make available more payment method integrations, this could easily be fixed, I think, since (from what I can tell from previous reviews) it's not paying Forento the commission that's the problem but the availability of other payment integrations.
- Perhaps my biggest complaint is that you cannot change the currency for your courses / products / sessions / etc. until and unless you have integrated your Stripe or PayPal account. I think this should be one of the easy, intuitive parts of the platform which, unfortunately, is not. I fail to understand the need to integrate Stripe / PayPal prior just so I can list the price of my course / services in our local currency especially if it is only for cosmetics. (1) Not everyone trades in USD; (2) Not everyone has access to Stripe or PayPal; (3) Not everyone has interest in using either Stripe or PayPal.
Overall, would still definitely recommend the platform especially if you are not particular about the payment methods or changing your currency.

Has the right features, but they need to be fleshed out.
Forento appears to have a number of useful features built into the platform. For example, outside of courses you can create communities, sell paid content/subscriptions etc.
My concern, however, is that they don't appear to have put much thought into the user interface. The course pages look like something I would have seen in the days of the Netscape browser. Also, the process to purchase courses needs some UX improvements.
Beyond the above concerns, the team hasn't really provided any substantial updates so users are in the dark.
