Q: No way to block spam
Hi, I recently paid for a Lifetime Tier 2 plan. After creating a form from scratch and testing it out, and trying to set the form to send to my domain specific email address (example: [email protected]), I realized quickly that it has no way at all to block spam submissions. Formly forms are literally an open door to spam if you want the form to send submissions to a "dot com" email address since there is no way to stop it. Conditional logic settings do nothing to stop users from clicking on "next," and you setting state that Google Recaptcha won't work if you want the form to send respones to a domain specific email address (such as [email protected]).
It's a pretty form with no way to stop spam at all if you have a "dot com" email address. Can anyone there help?

Mar 12, 2026A: Formly supports Google reCAPTCHA to help block spam and bot submissions and you can enable it in your form settings.

Note - reCAPTCHA doesn’t currently work on forms hosted on custom domains (form link - form.mywebsite.com/12345) but it can send responses to a domain specific email address (such as [email protected]).
If you’re using a custom domain form link (example - form.mywebsite.com/12345) and want advanced spam protection, contact our team at [email protected] and we’ll help you set up a manual configuration to allow these features to work together.
Couple of other options to prevent unwanted submissions:
1. Embed the form on a protected website.
2. Set up a password to access the form (only people with the password can access it).

Okay, so the ways to ensure spam protection using Formly are to: not use a custom domain name link with Formly, enable Google reCPATCHA in the settings, and enable email address verification. The conditional logic seems only for routing and does not prevent incorrect responses from being submitted since anyone can simply click "next" to go to the next slide in a multiple page form.
Enabling email address verification is not mandatory but it would provide more protection depending on your requirements. Respondents will not be able to submit the form until all required questions are filled in the correct format.
