I've used another form product for many years, but they recently "forced" me into upgrading because a few questions on a couple of forms resembled personal health information (I was locked into a low monthly rate and I guess they wanted more money from me--change from $10 to $40/mo or lose all of your forms). Their support has always been non-existent.

So I researched a few options here on AppSumo and elsewhere, and once I saw that Formly allowed custom domains and had the minimum field types that I needed, I decided to try it. It was simple to build forms and while the UI could use some updates, I found it very easy to configure and customize.

What really impressed me; however, was their support. I created a large form (over 70 questions) with conditional logic. Upon testing the form, I received an error that I couldn't figure out. I sent a support email and within 20 minutes I had a thoughtful response. They suggested three fixes and offered to log in and take a look. I tried their suggestions and still had issues. Initially, I was concerned that maybe the software was "buggy" but it turned out to be operator error. I used special characters in a key field. Within 12 hours they found and resolved my problem. The only reason it took that long is that I contacted them after hours. Very impressed with their support.

Things that could be improved:
- More field types and options (e.g. Name Field that has both First and Last rather than creating two fields on two separate lines. One for first name and one for last name. I'd like to change the 24-hour time selection to 12 hours with AP/PM)
- The re-ordering of fields is drag and drop, but when I have over 70 fields and need to drag it to the top, it's very clunky. I'd like an easier way to re-order.
- Auto-naming the "Component Name" based on the title I give rather than the type of field plus a number. It feels like double work to name the field and then think of an appropriate component name with no spaces or special characters and limited characters.
- Better error finding. I was alerted to invalid spaces in the Component Name, but not the special characters. Since I got prompted to fix some issues but not others, I looked elsewhere for my configuration problem. If the same error that alerted me to spaces simply added "or special characters" that would have led me to find the problem.

Overall, I'm very happy with Formly so far.
