Thanks for your feedback about the SEO data add on.

One big piece of feedback we've consistently gotten from AppSumo customers is that they want access to SEO data like keyword volume, backlink data, etc. They say that the addition of this data would add a ton of value to their content workflow and would make Frase effectively the only tool they need for their SEO content efforts.

But there's a problem. In order for Frase to access this data, we need to pay a 3rd party data provider, like ahrefs or moz. In other words, providing this data to AppSumo users at scale would cost Frase an enormous amount of money.

Our first thought was, "there's no way that Sumo-lings will pay to access this data. So we just shouldn't build it." But then we surveyed our AppSumo customers and found that not only did 90% of users want us to build this, but 50% were willing to pay to offset Frase's cost in building it!

So the compromise is this: the add-on is optional. People that want access to this data will pay Frase for it in order to offset the cost Frase incurs. People that don't want access to that data won't need to pay another dime.

Either way, Frase will continue to ship updates to our core functionality–we've already released over 16 new features since our last AppSumo launch in August, at no additional cost to Sumo-lings.
