I believe Frase is going in a very different direction than both Marketmuse or Clearscope. I wasn't even aware those had been listed as our direct competitors. I am actually friendly with Marketmuse. I don't know Clearscope directly, but I have heard great things. You should all check them out.

Our vision has certainly changed during the last couple years. The internet is becoming conversational - we've all seen search engines evolve to become "answer engines" (featured snippets, voice search, etc.), and this is the part of SEO we are most excited about. But SEO doesn't end at Google, it continues on your website, and the user experience you can provide.

Frase recently adopted a new mission: to help organizations deliver answers everywhere - on search, chat, and voice. Our Answer Engine solution is very unique in the market, arguably the only chatbot that truly uses your website content as the backbone to answer questions. It is a major departure from rule-based chatbots, and an opportunity for content/SEO managers to influence the Customer Experience.

We launched on Appsumo with a focus on the content-side of Frase because we thought these users will tomorrow help us grow towards our vision. If you are interested in Conversational AI, you should definitely stick around, we have a lot of exciting things to share with you all.
