Q: Can't Connect More Than One Domain To A Google Ads Account

I am having problems connecting more than 1 domain to a google ads account. I see others have problems too and I've seen your response to them.

I can imagine that having more than one domain in a google ads account is NOT rare. It's something so common for many people. Yet your program has been around more than a year and you guys have not implemented it and can only tell us that you may do so without any ETA.

I'm wondering if you'll ever do so. This isn't something that's unique. Many people have ads to more than one domain in a google ad account.

For those thinking of purchasing Fraud Blocker, I would take note of this. I'm not sure how responsive the owners are open to simple requests that should already be part of the deal.

A: Hello jonathanjon,

That's a very reasonable question.

That particular request requires a bit of work and we have prioritized other features.

To elaborate: Today, our system allows users to customize their fraud blocking settings at the domain level. We apply those customizations, then run our normal fraud detection, output the appropriate IPs to block and then sync the entire set of bad IPs to your Google Ads account. We also have to be cautious about speed-to-sync so we have separate tables and jobs running simultaneously to send the worst offenders very quickly.

Because it's account-level today, you can't have geo-blocking for Canada-only in one campaign and Mexico-only in another campaign in the same Google Ads account.

To fix this issue, we need to switch our system to campaign-level and adjust the order of how we build our IP exclusion list.

This has been heavily discussed and architected internally, but it's taking a bit longer than anticipated. We need to use caution and be sensitive so to avoid any interference with our existing customers syncing IPs today to ~11,000 domain names today.

In the meantime though, we are not sitting still. We launched dozens of new features last year and "Fraud Blocker 2.0" earlier this year:

This *will* get done and I hope some of these details help paint the full picture.

Best,
-Mike

No. This is inaccurate.

Your client can run 200 domain names and connect them to 200 Google Ads accounts without issue.

A separate Google Ads account for each client/domain is best practices for the vast majority of agencies and businesses.

Our current setup is not a problem for the majority of our users.

Wow this is such a major flaw, thanks for asking, Jonathan. When will this be resolved? If it's not soon, no point spending a bunch of money on a good deal that doesn't work for me.
