Q: Hi, Having played with this I have a few questions, overall the concept is good, the UX is a little poor in ...
places, but generally it has some good features, although the main features of a proposal I couldnt seem to find which leads onto my question.
When sending proposals, generally the look and intro info etc.. is just a template and the main things you want are the ability to create custom services or products send it out and get paid , whilst not taking up to much time so you can be doing other things.
So i was very surprised that there is no product section, I found the fee's row property which enables you to add products or services manually each time, but this isnt logical at all for usability and for the time of the person creating the proposal.
You need the ability to add products from a masters list and then when it comes to adding to your proposal you just click and add what products and services you want and it takes no time at all. Currently it seems you have to manually type each time you want to add a service or product before sending out the proposal, I'm hoping this isnt the case, as this would be the one feature over anything that one would need in a proposal software.
Would you be able to confirm if there is a way to do this or not without manually typing each time? If this isnt currently possible, would you let me know how quickly you think this could be implemented from a tech point of view and if you would prioritise this to the top of your backlog, as looking at your roadmap the features don't look as important as this.
many thanks

May 15, 2024A: Have you signed up using free trial plan? Fees Library may not be available in free trial currently.
But I can confirm, as a AppSumo user, you will have access to it.
Hi Ralf,
Thank you for asking this question.
Yes, Fresh Proposals already have the ability to add product/services from master list.
It can be done in two ways.
1. Fees Library (master fees table)
You can keep saving your product/ services fees to library (you just have to add it once to Fresh Proposals, and it can be saved to library at a click). Once saved to library, these fee rows can be imported in next proposal or template in a fee table.
Here is a user guide to it.

2. There is even a better way if you have certain content as well as fees for a product or service. Let's take an example of Product A.
You can create a section for the product A. Add images, description, use cases etc. You can add one / more page(s) and let it have Fees table of Product A, product specific terms. You can save this to your Section Library.
Similarly you can add section for Service B, Product+Service A and so on. This becomes reusable section. Add to next proposal at a click.
Now here is the best part, & pls bear with me for a lengthy answer. But it extremely useful IMO.
Say you created a proposal (say P) from your own template (say T) and you've already have a section (say S) for 'Product A'. You realized you need to update product description and change its pricing. You make those changes to the section in the current proposal.
But you also realize that recent changes made for 'Product A' in your proposal (P) should be propagated to template (T) so that updated product A information can be used in subsequent proposal. You just have to save the current section to section library and import in template (T). Now when I say import, it is replaced (you don't have to delete and add manually).
More details about how to use Section Library is here: https://freshproposals.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/47001143713-section-library
Feel free to reach out if you have any further question.
Thanks for taking the time to write in detail, the issue is your description and fresh desk help on the topic do not mirror what is happening when logged in, for example there is no fee's option when I am in content library, just image and video options. I have contacted your support, if you could reply so we can get this looked at please. Like i say the concept looks promising, i just want to make sure that it is really simple to use just for my own time purposes. If it is I will be purchasing, many thanks
I think this is a key point. A "proposal generator" by definition has the ability to simply add a list of products to a proposal, otherwise you have a fancy editing tool. I would have purchased this offer but for this lack of functionality.
Looks like you missed the point. It does have product/ services fees library that can be used in your proposal / template (without typing it every time).
