I've been in search of a simple LMS platform with an in-built course builder for a long time, and with the current situation, eLearning jumped back into the business discussion - fortunately AppSumo and FreshLMS were right there for me - right time, right place and at the right price.

I’ve worked only with the course builder, quizzes, assessments, and the initial setup and configuration - my review is based on those aspects.

Right out of the gate, there’s enormous potential & I’m happy with the value for money.

I agree with some of the comments that right as at today the software isn’t ‘perfect’, but I’d also say I searched the pricing (one-off or subscription) models were not justifiable for my business. (Teachable: Basic - 348/year, Pro - 1188/year, Business - 2988/year or Learndash: Basic - 159/year, Plus - 189/year, Pro - 329/year or Thinkific: Basic - 588/year, Pro - 1188/year, Premier - 5988/year), so at $99 for a ‘Lifetime Deal’, a few bugs are forgivable (provided they get fixed) and it's still a good value proposition.

One of best things for me so far has been the ability to directly engage with the Dev team via the chat functionality, this lets me share my thoughts, ideas, and issues directly and means I can ensure my thoughts on improvements or technical issues aren't lost in my laziness to 'send an email later'. FreshLMS have given 100% feedback to my comments, requests, issues, and have been very personable and helpful.

Pro’s

* Simple and efficient (eLearning isn’t my primary business - it’s a value-add, so making it simple is key)
* The deal is great for what you get - and what's in the Roadmap (do a little search on LMS pricing and you’ll quickly see the attractiveness of the offer)
* Support team is fantastic
* White-labelling and ability to ‘brand’ your LMS is great, simple but effective
* GDPR compliance is a key benefit from a business perspective
* The quiz builder and assessments section is easy to create
* The formatting options in the course builder are sufficient, with a focus on keeping it simple and getting the message across (key for my audience who are time-poor)
* Video embedding is simple
* Roadmap is useful (https://trello.com/b/ezGhnsgF/public-roadmap) to check whether something you would like to see in the Platform is already being considered
* All aspects have been very simple for a non-techy like myself

Improvement Opportunities

* It would be great to see the knowledge base improve when time permits (at the moment the Support Team are providing me the feedback that I usually would just search the KB for)
* There are some bugs but these are all fixable and I’m sure the team will get to it
