What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?
Before building Funnelforms, I (Pascal) ran a successful online marketing agency for several years, starting in 2015. That experience gave me deep insights into the challenges businesses face in converting traffic into leads. I’ve helped hundreds of businesses grow—but ironically, the one thing that always annoyed me was how inefficient and outdated most contact forms were. My biggest “failure” was probably staying too long in client service mode instead of jumping earlier into SaaS—but in hindsight, that gave me the field experience to build something truly useful. Funnelforms is the result of everything I learned from both success and frustration.
What 3rd party tools is your product critically dependent on?
Funnelforms is fully self-hosted and custom-built. It’s currently offered as a WordPress plugin. We integrate with tools like Zapier and Make. We’ve intentionally kept dependencies minimal to maintain performance, flexibility, and control.
Where is your customer data stored?
The data is stored on the users own web servers. We dont host any forms or content from the users. Our own member area are located in Frankfurt/Germany.

What’s the origin of the idea for your product?
The idea for Funnelforms was born out of pure necessity. Running my agency, I constantly ran into the same wall: standard contact forms were boring, clunky, and killed conversion rates. I couldn’t find a single tool that made it easier for users to actually enjoy filling out a form—especially with clean design, logic, and mobile responsiveness. So, together with my long-time friend and co-founder Fabian, we decided: screw it, we’ll build it ourselves. That’s how Funnelforms started.
What problem is your product solving and how?
We’re solving the problem of bad lead forms. Traditional contact forms don’t work anymore—they’re static, ugly, and don’t guide users properly. Businesses spend thousands driving traffic, only to lose potential leads at the form stage.
Funnelforms solves that by:
-Turning forms into guided conversations (multi-step UX)
-Adding logic that shows only relevant questions
-Designing forms that look great on any device
-Providing a builder that’s super easy to use

-Learnings: This is a two-way street. We’ll take every review, feature request, and bug report seriously and use it to grow smarter and faster.
