Q: Need to understand the credit details & Autopilot

I'm confused on the credit system. Using Tier 3 as the example - 1,000 "monthly credits" and 5,000 "personalized sessions."

So, it costs approx 1 credit to publish a page from the 1,000 "Monthly credits." Then, 1 of the "personalized session" credits for each person that gets a customized version of that page.

So, 5,000 personalized sessions means 5,000 people can each view the page - is that right?

Second, is it true that BYOK only covers your "monthly credits" and that it does NOT apply to the personalized sessions? I won't need to generate 1,000 different pages/month - but I'll definitely hit that 5,000 limit.

Also, what are all of the uses for the "monthly credits" and how much does each thing cost in credits?

Last, the AI autopilot is locked. How do I get access?

A: Hey! Happy to break this down for you :)

Using Tier 3 as the example:

- 1,000 monthly credits are used for creating/publishing and AI-powered actions
- 5,000 personalized sessions are the number of real visitor sessions that can receive personalized content

So yes, publishing a personalized variant for one prospect costs 1 credit. Then, when someone actually visits a personalized page, that uses a personalized session.

One important distinction though: 5,000 sessions doesn’t necessarily mean exactly 5,000 unique people. If someone refreshes or revisits within the same session, that doesn’t keep consuming sessions. Bots and internal/workspace traffic are filtered as well.

And importantly, hitting the personalized-session limit does not stop your traffic or take the page offline. Once the allowance is reached, additional visitors are simply routed to the default/non-personalized version of the page. You can also run a non-personalized landing page from the start and send as much traffic to it as you want - the session allowance only matters when you’re using dynamic personalization/variables.

BYOK is separate from personalized sessions. It can reduce/remove the GenPage credit cost for generative AI actions by routing those through your own model key, but it does not cover:
- the 1-credit publishing cost per personalized variant
- personalized sessions

For monthly credits, the main uses are:

- Publishing a personalized page variant: 1 credit each
- AI Variables / enrichments: 1 credit per 10 generated
- AI page generation/editing: varies depending on the model, complexity, and amount of work
- Manual editing: free

And for Autopilot: that’s currently still a closed beta, which is why you’re seeing it locked. It isn’t something you’re missing from your tier - access is being rolled out separately while we keep testing it.

Hope that clears it up a bit :)

Thanks Sam. Follow ups: Generative AI Actions? If BYOK doesn't cover the cost of publishing a page or the cost of customizing a page for a visitor - I'm confused on the actual real world use for it.

Also, how long does a session remain active before requiring a second credit to re-personalize the page for that person?

Do internal agency page views count?

Hi!

BYOK covers the generative AI work itself: creating pages, AI edits, AI Variables, enrichments, etc. Publishing personalized variants still costs 1 credit each, and personalized sessions are separate.

A session stays active during the same browsing session, so refreshes/revisits within that session don’t keep consuming more. Internal/workspace traffic is filtered out as well.

Last question: I'm getting access to autopilot when rolled out correct? When do you anticipate it being more widely available to all of us?

Yes - Autopilot is intended to roll out to AppSumo users too. We expect broader access within the next few weeks as we finish testing it :)
