A Youngster Perhaps.

So out the gate they made an error and published everyone's private data. I alerted them and was polite about the fact that this was a serious data breach. Without requesting anything they gave me a discount on my purchase. Nice. I got things set up. And the issue I ran into was the fact that there was missing white labelled features... one of these was emails not being white labelled. Ie. they show john@getleadforms email address and get leads forms branding. I requested this get fixed and they seemed to be on it. But it never resolved... many months have gone by and I have followed up a few times... initially I had replies suggesting the fix was happening... then they just stopped responding and the issue remains to this day. So I've never used the product which I paid for as it all seemed a bit amateur and not ready for release. The forms themselves are old school html. My guess is this is a very young individual having a crack at being entrepreneurial but not having the resources or experience to pull it off long term. Or just grabbing the cash at the front door and sneaking out the back 🤷🏻. It was a waste of my time and money and appsumo should do a better job at vetting.

Thanks for your review, despite the fact that we're no longer selling on AppSumo, I want to address each point. Because there are some serious allegations being made here which are not true:

Let's start with this one:

"So out the gate they made an error and published everyone's private data. I alerted them and was polite about the fact that this was a serious data breach"

- Yes there was an issue where you were able to see a small portion of our user's emails, but you were unable to access other user data, form data or lead data. I verified this after you reported the bug. The issue was caused by a new developer on the team. He was immediately let go after this incident.

"got things set up. And the issue I ran into was the fact that there was missing white labelled features... one of these was emails not being white labelled. -- I remember that we were going back and forth quite a bit on this issue, which I'll admit shouldn't have been an issue at all to begin with. For some reason, this only appeared to happen on your account and the former developers were struggling to understand the issue. I'm not sure why there was no follow-up to your ticket though and I do apologize about that. If you'd like to pick back up where we left off, I'm sure we can get this figured out for you now.

- "The forms themselves are old school html."

The forms are not built in HTML... Yes, there's some HTML and CSS in the forms, but it's all dynamic. We use React on the frontend, and someone could not simply recreate our forms in HTML.

It's painful to hear this but I understand where you're coming from. While I know you'll disagree, I can assure you that this is not the case, as you can see by our 5-star reviews, mostly referencing support.

To be honest, we did launch on AppSumo way too early. I wasn't expecting such volume to come through. This impacted us in all areas, especially support and the product. Our servers took on heavy CPU spikes and our developers at the time not only couldn't keep up, but they were making mistakes.

We entered the darkest time in this tool's history.

And did I close up shop like other other tools on AppSumo?

No.

I'm still here.

What I did do?
