I've had it for over a month now - the tools is very cool, especially in terms of setup and displaying the widgets. The question is - why had I not done something similar or found a tool like this earlier - so this deal was an eye opener.
The report is super beautiful and insightful going into details how your website got visitors from shares and links.
GetSocial nearly sneaked under my radar and is probably sneaking under others too. It hasn't garnered the attention it deserves, so I wanted to post this short review in case it helps alert others before the deal finally ends and it's too late.
Their client list is very impressive - Fujitsu, MTV, Forbes, Adobe, WWF and more which reflects the maturity and professionalism of the team and service provided. And the app is very polished indeed with the ability to provide a central command centre overview of the all the social stats and performance of the content on your websites - as well as their beautifully designed social share buttons and tools which we are all familiar with.
The ability to set up a number of websites - depending on how many codes you get - and not have to mess around with WP plug-ins is a great benefit too. GetSocial works on non-WP sites.
The webinar - which is short and very informative - explains more about the dark social aspect. On average, only 20% of shares on a website come from the social buttons. Copying and pasting of URL's accounts for much of the remainder and so GetSocial helps you to understand where all the other traffic is coming from. And it's not 'direct traffic' as Google Analytics would have you believe. Understanding this otherwise 'missing data' can help inform your content strategy i.e. what is working and where it is gaining the most traction.
I am planning to develop a few sites for a content publishing business model which will benefit from having a better, more granular understanding of what works with GetSocial being used to provide a detailed and consistent analysis across them all.

Purchased 3 codes which I think is great value for the extra tools and capacity provided.
Thanks to GetSocial and Appsumo and wish the team well going forwards.
Just received my first weekly performance report for my website from GetSocial. It is gorgeous!
I even don't have to sign into the app, to have an overview about all the visits, shares and referrals across the different channels including dark social in a very neat design, including an overview about my most shared pages, channels and locations. The analytics within the panel are even more granular. Furthermore they offer a report builder, where I can set up the emailing of my custom recurring or one time reports as pdf or ppt. I love it!
The social share widgets are top notch! I could align their design easily and optimally to my overall website design. Till now I haven't dug into Viral Alerts, Facebook Automation and Link Shortener. I'm stoked to do this pretty soon. But I surely don't need to this, to give the tool and the team behind it well deserved 5 tacos.
Why the team? I had experienced two issues with the appearances of the widgets. The first has been a bit of further customization of the design, which they could solve right away. And the second: Every time I've opened my menu on mobile a mysterious bar or line appeared depending on the browser. They got back to me within 24 hours and had resolved it within a few days by modifying their code. Which is quite recognizable during the beginning of an appsumo campaign, or what do you think?
It's by fare the best website social sharing tool I've experienced. All the wordpress plugins i've tried before are a joke compared with this. The best is, it isn't restricted to wordpress. I can utilize it also on every other website where I can add some lines of code. Every marketer or business owner which takes his website/blog shares and referrals seriously should invest in this!
Getsocial is a hub for social sharing. I have been using it for two weeks, and it has been a pleasure.
The social buttons look beautiful on the website. You can use sharing and followers buttons. They also have pop-ups like Convertful. I found the UI clear and polished. The mobile buttons are different from any other plugin. It gives vibration to your site’s mobile version.
The UI is pretty simple. They have a menu on the left of their dashboard. Just follow the categories in order. You will be all set.
First, you choose the share tools. They have many options. I’m using the floating bar, horizontal share bar (on the top), horizontal follower bar (on the left), and mobile share bar.
I do recommend the tool. I’m keeping it on my ltd arsenal.
