GoFundMe is an online fundraising platform where you can fundraise for education, nonprofit causes, emergencies, medical needs, and more.

Getting started with GoFundMe is simple. Sign up for a free account with some basic details and then you can start your fundraiser.

Raise funds for yourself, a family member, or a non-profit organization. The most common reasons for fundraising are medical costs, emergency situations, memorial funds, education, and crisis relief.

Create a fundraising page easily. You start by setting a monetary goal for your fundraiser, but you get to keep all of your donations even if you do not reach your goal. The page will track  your progress toward the goal, including the total amount of money raised and total number of donors.

On the fundraising page, you will have space to tell your story about who you are raising money for, why, and how these donations will help a worthy cause. You can also share videos and images.

Post updates over time to keep donors informed about changes with or news about the fundraiser. Donors will get an email notification when you post new information on the fundraising page.

Donors can set their donation amount, no matter how big or small. They will also have the opportunity to support GoFundMe’s mission by tipping the organization, which offers a 0% platform fee for fundraisers.

Donors can pay with PayPal, Google Pay, or a credit or debit card. They can choose to keep their donation anonymous or show their name along with the donation amount on the fundraising feed. Donors can also leave words of support for the organizer or person/organization they are raising funds for.

Share your fundraiser with friends, family, and colleagues by using your unique link. You and your donors can share the fundraising page on GoFundMe via email, WhatsApp,Facebook, and Twitter. You can share the link in many other places by just copying and pasting it onto the platform of your choice.

Once your fundraiser is complete, you can withdrawal the funds to your bank account or send them directly to the beneficiary’s bank account. You can add the beneficiaries during the bank transfer process to make sure the money goes to it’s intended recipient as soon as possible.
