I got this to try gathering information from Google Maps for a couple of business directory ideas and am impressed with the output. I've done this manually before and it took ages -actually a couple of days to do what I did here in a few minutes!

There is something I suggest the developers change as it very nearly put me off trying Outscraper...

When you enter your search criteria (business type etc.) Outscraper estimates the number of 'queries' needed. That's a good feature, however for each search I've tried, it suggested an amount of 'usage' and a cost which was way over the $20 monthly allowance of this LTD. Outscraper then advises that this task may exceed the free tier allowance and asks you to confirm your agreement to the Pricing Plans and Terms to continue.

I'm not sure how 'queries', 'usage' and 'credits are related, or whether all these terms are necessary. The cost warning was off-putting and seemed that I was being upsold to buy more credits - that may not be the intention but that's how it seemed.

Thankfully I spotted a handy feature, the 'total results limit' box. This lets you enter the number of results you want which prevents you from overspending and using up your credit. So for one task where the estimate cost was an additional $60 required, I set a limit of 500 results from my 5000 allowance, and the actual results found was just 192. The results were impressive and I'm happy that most of my allowance remains for the month. For a second query I added the Email and Contacts scrape to my search, but even with this I still have plenty of credits remaining.

I should say that my scraping was local to the UK - obviously if you're doing a US or global search you will use your credits sooner.

I would be wonderful if the AppSumo LTD included data gathering from the other Google and Amazon services, but the 500 free results for these will come in handy and the PAYG costs are reasonable.

Definitely worth a try and a useful additional to your arsenal of web marketing tools.
