Since then I had a spin of the free version of Vento. \u000aMY REVIEW:\u000aSetting up is simple and hitting the start seems start the recording just fine, but after clicking on \u0060pause\u0060 it takes forever to spin the \u0022preparing your video\u0022 . \u000aI wanted to try out the edit features (re\u002Dwind, re\u002Drecord, give a Author annotation or Chapter heading) but as it was still prepare only, showed I can add chapter heading to 0:00 second (totally useless like that).\u000aAfter more than an hour I decided to refresh page and it occurred the video actually was saved but that time I had no options to make further edit (rewind, rerecord, annotation, chapter heading). As it seems a premium option only.\u000aTried to open it to watch video but the following message was waiting \u0022Video being processed...\u000aPage will automatically refresh when video is finished processing\u0022. Never did.\u000aSo without able to watch it, I tried to download to see what was created. After trying but nothing downloaded the following message says: \u0022You have 8 video downloads remaining on your free plan.\u000aMake sure you\u0027ve edited your video before downloading\u0022\u000a (this time I realised edit is only for premium users also a yellow diamond next to edit option say that).\u000aNeedless to say nothing got downloaded again!\u000a\u000aWould I like to invest this software knowing the features and user\u002Dfriendly interface?Absolutely!\u000aDo I spend a cent to buy after try! \u000aAbsolutely NOT!\u000a\u000aDid Vento work to anyone?

Hey There! Thanks for sharing. Looks like you struggled to redeem. Our apologies but it we looked for your email but couldn\u0027t find it. As mentioned in another response, we needed to migrate Vento to a new version of next.js so our chat feature has been down. It will be back up in the next couple of days. Just a note \u002D our free version is in the process of being migrated over to our streaming platform so the recording and upload features are slightly different. We rely on storing data in your browser (on the free version) to send data to our server. When you received that processing issue, it means that all the data didn\u0027t make it to the server. \u000a\u000aWhen you redeem, you\u0027ll see the feature set and experience is much different (and quite fast). However, we had to make sure we prioritize performance for our paid users first so our free users are still on a older version of Vento (we did this to save costs so we can offer Vento at this price point). This will change in the next week or so as we\u0027re wrapping up our infrastructure changes to move free users over to our streaming platform.\u000a\u000aApologies for the challenges you were facing and if you don\u0027t mind sending us another email  so we can speak to your issues directly.

Also, I am still don\u0027t understand if I want my recorded video stored on my own PC and make further edit by any 3rd party software before upload and host it on my own website space without any Vento watermarks etc. \u000aCan I do that?
