The Cyber Alarm add-on is an extra layer of security that works on top of your GooseVPN connection. While the VPN itself encrypts your traffic and keeps you private online, it does not check whether the websites or files you visit are actually safe.

Cyber Alarm analyzes your internet traffic within the secure VPN tunnel and can alert you to potential risks such as malware, ransomware or viruses. This gives you insight into suspicious activity so you can take action before it becomes a real problem.

It is not required to use GooseVPN. You can use the VPN perfectly fine without Cyber Alarm. However, if you want additional protection and more visibility into possible threats, Cyber Alarm is a very useful extra security layer.
