Good but...

Hi!
I use it every day (on iPhone, Windows, and Synology). Good for surfing, but sometimes I encounter blocked websites. Speed is good.
Speed on P2P BitTorrent seems slow, checked with different protocols and servers. (My WAN and performance are not the bottleneck)
Streaming: many streaming platforms are locked: VPN detected. Netflix / Prime Video doesn't work: can't log in or VPN detection.
Cyber Alarm: lacks information, it's too basic. Need servers in more countries, I live in Belgium. I can only choose the French server. However, due to website issues, I receive content from France...
I think this product is promising, but it needs more improvement, more available IPs. To bypass restrictions like captchas, streaming restrictions.
Feature proposal: Add the option to use custom DNS, like AdGuard DNS.

P.S: I don't need to contact your support ;) You just need to improve your product!
I think I will downgrade from T3 to T2.

Good luck

Hi Michaël,

Thank you for the extensive review.
We appreciate the effort!

You mentioned that you do not need to contact our support. If I may ask, is there any specific reason for this? At the beginning of your message, you mentioned that you experience issues with accessing websites, since you encounter blocked websites while being connected to our VPN servers. We would be happy to hear more about the websites that you are currently trying to access.

Are you by any chance using an antivirus and/or firewall on your device? if so, is Goose VPN added to the whitelist of these security applications? Since most security software hinders the functionality of the VPN, which can also mean that the (download) speed will be reduced.

We are aware of some streaming services that have detected our streaming servers. Our team is working on a solution, and we hope to release this as fast as possible. Recently, we have released a new update on our Dutch streaming server, which solved our issues with several Dutch streaming services. Unfortunately, this is something that may return from time to time, since there are streaming services that are actively tracing IP-addresses of VPN servers with the goal of blocking these servers from accessing their service.

We keep track of all the server requests that we receive. This also includes the addition of a Cyber Alarm server located in Belgium. When more servers requests are received regarding a specific country, type of server (as in this instance) or location, we will be able to add the server to our server list.

It is possible to add your own preferred and alternative DNS addresses, although this is something that is available by default on most operating systems, and not something that is possible via our application. We do have a 'DNS leak prevention' feature included in our Windows app. It might be possible that this feature will be developed further into something that will suit your needs in the future.

If you do wish to contact our support, this will be possible via: [email protected]. We will be able to talk more about the discussed topics and come up with an answer/solution for several of the discussed questions.

Kind regards,
Rudwan
