Lifetime Account Downgraded - Disappointed Experinse
Like many other Sumo-lings, I logged in today to find my account downgraded to a free trial due to an AppSumo-GoZen payment dispute. While I understand business conflicts happen, paying customers shouldn't suffer the consequences.
AppSumo should have proactively emailed all affected users and automatically processed refunds instead of requiring manual requests before May 30th. Discovering my purchased product is unusable only after logging in is unacceptable.
I trusted AppSumo as a reliable platform, but this experience—being caught in the middle with no proactive communication—has seriously damaged that trust. Requesting my refund now.
Not recommended until AppSumo improves how they handle such situations and protect customer interests.
