Absolutely immature and full of bugs: unusable!

Although the idea of a single platform for managing reviews is valid and relatively well-structured, there are countless bugs and truly unacceptable errors (for example, when trying to import from Google, it suggests installing an extension to import Yelp!).
In my case, it was unable to import even the most popular reviews like Facebook and LinkedIn.

In my opinion, this is another case of software landing on AppSumo to acquire beta testers, not to provide value to the community.
I request a refund and thank those who produce honest and descriptive reviews that help others avoid situations like this.

Video Testimonials Matter

As a marketing agency, I've had the chance to connect with hundreds of businesses, and I noticed something interesting lately. People are starting to trust written testimonials less and less. Why? Promising Start with Room for Growth

My early experience with Gozen Testimonials has been positive overall. The platform offers the core functionality I need to collect and manage testimonials effectively, and the user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. Setting up testimonial forms was straightforward, which made the onboarding process relatively smooth.

Promising - but has a lot of bugs

This definitely has a lot of promise, but there are a lot of bugs and customer support has been overall slow to respond. My guess is they're a bit inundated at the moment with this deal live so trying to give them a little grace—but it is frustrating to not have answers.

I started adding some testimonials manually and then imported from another platform. Unfotunately, as I was importing testimonials, other ones disappeared. It's as if it's only storing a max number of testimonials even though there's no limit on text testimonials.

I'm also having difficulty with wall of love, widgets, and embeds. None of that is working properly. Styling doesn't save, it's not showing me all testimonials to choose from for the wall of love, and embed code doesn't appear after saving the widgets. I tried to just embed an Individual review instead but that didn't work either.

I do have the form linked at the end of a couple of my courses - fingers crossed I don't lose any submitted reviews. 🤞

Here's to hoping they fix these bugs soon.

Lots of potential but also lots of bugs.

UI and usability of Testimonial is good and easy but it has several bugs. I've only been using it for a few days and these are the ones I found:
- Wall of Love doesn't save any changes
- Wall of Love layout is out of alignment
- Bought tier 2, but can still see the branding. This is a consistent issue across Testimonials and Forms. It's extremely frustrating, especially after you've paid to have it removed.
- Getting an error when I try to import info from Capterra. G2 seemed to work ok

1. Wall of Love doesn't save changes: Changes are auto-saved; there is no need to manually save.

2. Wall of Love layout out of alignment: Please share a screenshot of the issue. It works perfectly on our end, or please reach out to live chat support for assistance.

3. Branding issue on Tier 2: Tier 2 only removes testimonial branding. For loading branding, it starts from Tier 3. Could you clarify which branding you're referring to?

Really A Great Product

I was looking for a tool to record video testimonials, and GoZen Testimonials is amazing. The support team is very helpful. I had an issue setting up my testimonial page, but Ashwin Siddarth quickly helped me fix it, and I’m really happy with their fast response.

There are a few bugs since it’s a new product, but that’s expected. It’s a simple and effective way to collect video testimonials, and there’s nothing like it out there.

I highly recommend this product!

Has a lot of potential although it was a very rock start..

I have used other platforms that help with testimonials, some good some not so good, and when I saw GoZen, I thought let’s give it a try - it looked really good.

First impressions of the UI were great, however, when I bought over a week ago it simply did not work. Importing of reviews did not work, manually adding them did not work etc.

I contacted support and they were responsive, and slowly but surely they started to get things working (honestly this was not ready for release when they released it)

The support team have been back and forth with me trying to solve the issues and I think that they now have a product that works at 80% capacity.
I have successfully imported Google reviews, created a wall of love, used the AI generated case study etc

However I have found that when importing reviews it gives you both the english and Spanish translation (it does not seem to pick just one language which is a pain) and deleting reviews is a bit hit and miss

I am giving this 3 tacos because it has a lot of potential but is still not 100% ready for market release.

They have so much potential here if they were just to fix things and get it right it would be great.

I've been able to test this product out and I'm truly hopeful that it can get it's act together...

If you've ever used Senja, then you know what this is. The interface, the features, the look, it's a Senja clone. I mean, it's so much like Senja that they even have a spin the wheel feature for people who submit testimonials to win prizes.

But that's not a complaint. Not even close.

It's HOPE!

I truly hope that this product can fix the many issues it faces.

But...

The customer service completely sucks!

So, you're basically forced to have to buy this and hope for the best because they ain't coming to fix any specific issues you might have. At least not in any timely manner. And if you don't believe me you can see that they have a lot of complaints in this regard.

My experience was that I couldn't even create my account (something others expressed also). So, when I submitted a question through AppSumo they told me to chat with their bot on their website.

I did.

It was dumb and completely useless.

Luckily! It was able to forward me to an agent that took almost a week to reply to my question WITH A QUESTION that made it seem like he wasn't even aware I had asked a question.

Then I went back on AppSumo to ask a question again, only this time to be given their email.

Progress, people!

They even let me book an appointment for a virtual call a couple days later so we could get to the bottom of things.

The only problem...

When the appointment time came I was there and nobody else showed up. As a matter of fact, they never even emailed me to say sorry.

So, I left them a one taco review, which was promptly rejected for violating a rule that doesn't allow reviews when you haven't technically used the product. Even if you do everything within your power to do so. (I guess reviewing businesses, rather than products, isn't useful to others).

Well, as things stand now, I have used the product and here's how that went...

I created my account. Messed with the interface. Created a campaign. And even tried out leaving a testimonial. The issue... when clicking the record button (both when leaving a review and leaving instructions for the reviewee) the clock ticks down just like they do in the movies. You know...

3...

2...

1...

And nothing.

The bomb doesn't go off and the clock still reads "1". Except, in this particular case, you get teased that you're going to be able to record a video but nothing happens.

I'M SITTING ON THIS ONE THOUGH.

I really hope and pray that this tool will come into it's own because this would be absolutely amazing. I almost feel like giving it 5 tacos just to get others on board, but I cant bring myself to do that based on all that I've experienced and it's just downright unethical.

Seriously, though. Senja is amazing, but it's like $30/month to get all the features this has. If these guys can get it together, this is an absolute steal.

If they can get it together, I vow to leave 5 tacos. Hell, I'll buy these guys some tacos.

I'M LOVING IT THUS FAR!!!

I just got this deal as part of the Black Friday Day 1 specials, and it's already made me happy with how EASILY my Senja testimonials transferred with absolutely no issue. I just immediately saved around $25/month!
I've tried Bonjoro (which I like but it's $$$$), Feedback Link and a few others over the years, but this one 'SEEMS' to be really great! Although I'm still testing, as it stands, I don't think I'm going to another project.

I used this product and it's not ready and support hasn't been helpful

I used this product and I've concluded that nothing works. What's worse is support isn't helpful at all. I've never left a bad review on Appsumo, so this is my first one.

To be clear, my review is in two parts. Logging in and using the product. I had issues with logging in, but eventually support helped me gain access. So I'll share my experience with logging in then move to using the product and attempting to import reviews from platforms.

1. Login Issues: My issues started the day I signed up. I was able to access my account at first, then the next time I tried to login, I got so many issues. It said that I needed to verify my email, but when I put my email in, it see that I had an email. I reached out via email, then was directed to live chat. Live chat hasn't been helpful at all. I was eventually told by email to schedule a zoom call. That's odd, I just wanted access to my account and figured it would be a quick fix on their end.

2. Finally, I get on a zoom call and the guy was there to solve my login issues and upsell me through the company directly. I could tier up to Tier 3 for the price of Tier 2 if I paid them directly, instead of going through Appsumo. This didn't feel right, because I hadn't had a chance to use the software yet and just wanted to test it out. Why am I being upsold?

3. Trying to Import: Once I get into my account and start trying to import – nothing has worked. I tried Google, Airbnb, Amazon, Facebook, Trustpilot, and Capterra, literally none of them worked. Did one manually and it registered in the chart as available, but doesn't show up anywhere? Literally, nothing has worked for me.

4. I can be patient with software startups, but the core functionality isn't working, and what's worse, the support isn't working.

5. At least I can refund

In regards to the upselling aspect, looks like there is some mis-communication, I believe some of the features that you wanted were available in a higher Tier hence I believe the support rep was pointing out to the best plan that would work for you.

Nice idea, but not ready for prime-time : Glitchy, not functioning, lacking features and support

I was originally very excited to see the LTD for GoZen as I've been wanting to integrate testimonials on my website for my business since the price is really good and feature-wise, it looks great on paper.

BUT, it's not in reality. Ever since signing up, I've been met with constant disappoint and issues:

#1 Login issues were awful. After signing up with AS, I couldn't login to my account for over 24 hours because they had 'technical issues.'

#2 Then, I couldn't import ANYTHING, not even manual text testimonials. This happened for another day or two.

#3 Now, finally I"m able to import testimonials.. and it works, sort of. It doesn't import everything properly:
- I used Google Import , and it only imported for the first 10. It didn't import the star ratings. It also didn't import the entire testimonials.
- I used Senja import, and it also imported only for the first 10. It didn't import every picture. It didn't import all the details.
- I used LinkedIn import, and it didn't import the picture.

#4 You can't actually EDIT the testimonials. You can't edit the testimonial itself. There's no way to add or edit a star rating. You can't even upload a picture for the person. You can't edit the date of the testimonial on when it was written. The only option to edit is for the customer details.

#5 Importing testimonials ERASES the previously imported testimonials. I imported a set of Google Reviews as mentioned, then imported the Senja reviews, and the Google ones are completely gone.

This product isn't ready for prime time. Unless this company can get their act together and address these issues FAST, this isn't worth your time. Stay clear.

I'm probably just going to have to bite the bullet and sign up for Senja. Their product works. IT's expensive, but it works.
