Q: Hello, I decided to try testing the push notification on your website.

Of course, I enable notifications, but no notification appears on my mobile device. When I try on a desktop computer, the notification appears.

I decided to write here because more people may have this problem, and in a real world environment, if subscribers don't receive notifications on a mobile device even after enabling them it will be a bummer for us as a marketing agency.

A: Hi RrAv,

I'd like to check back on your case.
Have you been able to test notifications on your mobile device?

Hello,

Thank you for your question and interest in our product šŸ¤

Did I understand correctly that you subscribed to push notifications on the gravitec.net website? You did it from a mobile device and from a desktop device. You received a notification on your desktop, but not on your mobile device. Is this correct?
1. To answer this question, it is important to clarify which type of mobile device you used to subscribe. For example, iOS mobile devices do not support browser push notifications. This is Apple's decision, they do this in order not to lose revenue on the AppStore.
However, if the website offered you a subscription, then you probably have an Android šŸ™‚
2. If you have an Android and you have allowed notifications on the site, you should understand that notifications may not be allowed on mobile devices at the OS level, for example, in the "Do Not Disturb" mode.
3. You may not receive a notification if the connection is unstable at the time of receiving the notification.
The receipt of push notifications on a particular device is directly affected by individual settings, Google algorithms (which are responsible for delivering content to specific browsers), or the conditions in which a particular device is located. Therefore, the fact that a particular device does not receive a notification does not mean that this technology is ineffective for mobile devices.
Web push is not similar to email and does not guarantee 100% delivery of messages to a specific subscriber, but it allows you to quickly collect many subscribers and communicate with this audience.
Many of our clients collect hundreds of thousands or even millions of subscribers, and 80 to 98% of them are mobile device owners, which make up the bulk of their audiences.
Screenshots with the composition of some of our clients' audiences:

This work with the audience is successful for clients. With the right approach to working with the tool, both clients and subscribers are satisfied šŸ˜Ž

Hello, and thank you very much for your detailed reply.

What I can see is that push notifications will eventually appear in iOS this year.

Regarding the question if you understood correctly, yes, that is correct.
But it is possible that I have a setting that prevents notifications in Android. I will try the "test notification" with another Android device as well.
