Q: Netlify question

Netlify seems to host static site. For dynamic sites built and deployed from Greta, how will this work with Netlify?

A: Hey Hey! Good question! Netlify handles your frontend (the visual part users interact with). It does have edge functions and stuff. They are working on a lot of newer things that they will be launching soon. And currently Supabase or another backend manages all dynamic content like databases, logins, or APIs. Greta connects both smoothly, giving you a fully dynamic app.

With that being said we will have more integrations, node js and a lot of stuff that is coming up in future to give you more flexibility because our aim is to make sure you can not only create production ready apps but grow it to thousands & millions of users with our agents.

Please let me know if you have any follow ups :)

If there wasn't an integration with Supabase, I would agree with you that Netlify is limited for dynamic sites(it does have limited edge functions).
The reason its considered a static site host is because the backend features are limited.
Since we are using a full BaaS via Supabase the only limitation would be things that exceed Supabases edge function limitations, & 99.9% won't get close to that

Since you are so knowledgeable. I hope you don’t mind asking some other related questions. Have you heard of FireBase Studio by Google? Some claim it to be the killer of all vibe coding apps with everything included (database, hosting, authentication, etc). Seems like a all-in-one solution. I took a look and as always, Google’s pricing is confusing as heck. There’s at least 10 sections of pricing

Also, what do you know about context engineering? I’ve heard it is the next generation of vibe coding: https://youtu.be/Egeuql3Lrzg?si=cxRoXPcdkvzvBEtc

My question is also looking out for Greta’s future roadmap.

I've dabbled in Firebase Studio but I am not a fan of Google and its multiple monopolies so I am admittedly biased.

Its good and yes the pricing AS ALWAYS with Google is annoying and confusing.

Yes if they can get that to work seamlessly with all of their nightmare product integrations then it would be a monster.

I would say its a solid option if you want a platform you never have to move from.

Context Engineering is a new term for me but after watching that video I would say thats EXACTLY what I do.

This is one of the reason I have said multiple times in these comments that I discuss prompts with an AI agent and plan out an app WAY before tossing it into a tool like Greta.

Claude Code is the best because it does this and troubleshoot automatically.
It can also cost $1000s/month in API

Thanks Jake. Appreciate it. What do you know about context engineering? I’ve heard it is the next generation of vibe coding: https://youtu.be/Egeuql3Lrzg?si=cxRoXPcdkvzvBEtc

Can you share with us how to do this via Claude API "discuss prompts with an AI agent and plan out an app "? Much appreciated.
