🛠️ Greta Platform Review – Fast Prototyping with Poor and Limited Functional end product.

I’ve purchased Greta at Level 3 and while its strengths in rapid prototyping are clear, there are consistent limitations that block progress from polished mockups to functional working apps.
👍 What Works
- Swift Drafting: Greta accelerates early-stage exploration and UI iteration beautifully.
- Sleek Design: Generated apps look sharp and professional out of the gate.

👎 What Doesn’t
- Credit Loss from Build Errors: Simple edits often cost double or triple due to system glitches and preview failures—users absorb the impact of backend instability.
- Limited Editing Freedom: Direct changes to colors, copy, or layout require AI prompts, with no streamlined visual editor in place.
- Overwrites and Regression Bugs: Requested tweaks frequently rewrite entire pages, breaking previously functioning code and design without justification. This is SUPER frustrating.
- Supabase Struggles: The integration does not work. Authentication, session handling, and data persistence are unreliable at best—leaving backend workflows dysfunctional.
- Lack of Element Targeting: Detailed prompts are often ignored, and the absence of selector clarity means precise control remains elusive.
- Restricted growth: The 50-file limit is a major blocker. With both projects I tried, based on detailed initial design prompts, I hit over 45 files quickly of the 50 limit.
- Dismissive AI Behavior: Prompts for functional upgrades are often met with vague “coming soon” responses, stalling development flow.
- Human Touch Still Required: Despite AI-led ambitions, manual intervention is frequently essential to course-correct, clarify intent, or recover broken features.
- Lack of support: The AI Support chat bot is good at understanding and replying to the support prompts entered (note this is NOT the core Greta app - it's the help button on the side); however it's essentially useless as there is no resolution to the issues and no human interaction or follow-up, even when I have manually followed up on multiple occasions.

💡 Suggestions
- Embed a native visual editor to support intuitive styling and copy adjustments.
- Offer better element identification tools for accurate reference and targeting.
- Fix credit accounting to exclude charges for errors or backend preview failures.
- Establish tiered credit costs to reflect actual edit complexity.
- Lift asset upload limits, and expand support for custom branding and media.
- Get the support sorted.

📌 Final Thoughts Greta has great potential for turning raw ideas into apps —but bridging the gap between concept and deployable product is still a huge challenge. There is no way I could with confidence deploy an app developed in Greta. Until credit fairness, editor control, and system reliability improve, users should treat Greta as a prototype generator, not a full development platform.
