Grigora Makes Site Building Easy—But SEO Meta Control Is a Absolute Dealbreaker (for Now)
Excellent concept, but if your going to build a website builder, it MUST start with the SEO implementation and optimization (I'll explain more below). Grigora doesn't allow SEO optimization with the majority of the pages on your website (directory pages). Who cares about "AI functionality" if no one can find your site? Bad decision to move forward with AI without the ability fully optimize every page on your site. My site is complete and you can see it here (https://emerginginv.com). The easy of making this site was pretty amazing and it is aesthetically beautiful.
SEO, SEO, SEO - PLEASE!!
But overall, I’ve been impressed. Building and managing my site has become noticeably easier. Grigora’s drag-and-drop builder, integrated hosting, SSL, analytics, email/newsletter features, and content “directory pages” offer a streamlined, all-in-one tool. The directory structure lets me collect structured data and then apply a reusable template to display it—so if I have dozens of similar pages (for products, team members, case studies, etc.), I don’t have to build each one from scratch. Plus, Grigora automatically creates clean, hierarchical URLs that are ideal for SEO. Everything just feels sleek and smart.
That said, there is one major limitation that’s driving me a little crazy: I can’t edit the meta title or meta description for directory pages (i.e. the pages generated from my data collections). It’s like delivering a car without its engine. Yes, I can customize metadata for standalone pages. But for those collection-driven items—the ones that will make up the bulk of my site—I’ve got no control over SEO metadata. No dynamic meta titles. No custom meta descriptions. Nothing. That’s a huge SEO blind spot.
Here’s how I’d break it down:
⸻
What I Love
• No-code, all-in-one experience: From site builder to hosting, SSL, analytics, forms, newsletter, and even some AI tools—Grigora covers a lot without needing plugins. Setting up pages is fast and intuitive.
• Directory + template system: I can centralize data in one place and reuse templates—ideal for scaling content. And the auto-generated hierarchical URLs are clean and SEO-friendly.
• Straightforward SEO structure for static pages: On standalone pages (like my homepage, service pages, or hub pages), I can set meta titles and descriptions easily.
• Good value: The AppSumo deal gives me unlimited pages per domain and a generous feature set in exchange for a one-time payment. It feels like a solid value.
⸻
What Frustrates Me
• No control over metadata on directory pages: There’s no way to set custom meta title or description for these pages right now. That’s a massive gap if these pages are the ones that drive traffic or conversions.
• Reminds me of giving someone a car with no engine: Everything looks good and works great—until it doesn’t actually perform for search results.
• Workarounds feel inappropriate: I can rely on descriptive slugs or strong on-page headings to help Google, but that doesn’t replace the ability to optimize titles and descriptions directly.
• I’d love dynamic patterns: Something like “{{Item Name}} – My Site Name” for titles would solve this, but it’s not available yet.
⸻
Workarounds I’m Using (Eventually Will Need Better)
1. Prioritize static pages for my highest-value keywords—so I can control meta data there.
2. For directory items, I’ve leaned on descriptive slugs, clear names, and H1s to help with snippet generation.
3. I’ve structured hub pages (static) to group related directory items and ensure those hubs have strong metadata.
4. I’m monitoring the AppSumo Q&A (I saw the founder confirm that this “meta for directories” feature is on the roadmap). Once it’s released, I plan to do an SEO sweep across all my directory pages.
⸻
I genuinely enjoy using Grigora—its interface, features, and value are compelling. But if you’re like me and expect your directory‐based content (think blog posts, listings, case studies, etc.) to drive SEO, then the lack of meta control on those directory pages is a dealbreaker—at least for now. I’m holding onto hope, because once they enable that feature, Grigora could be the perfect all-in-one solution. Until then, I’m using it cautiously: enjoying the simplicity, but keeping an eye on directory SEO.
If you use Grigora too, I’d love to compare notes—especially on SEO workaround tactics or notifications when the metadata feature drops!
Full SEO capability make this a true 5 taco.

Surprising articles!
The article quality is surprising, but it lacks image integration during article generation. These must be added manually afterward.
Unfortunately, importing WordPress articles is not up to scratch and laborious, and mobile editing isn't available. A promising start, but it needs improvement to keep up with the competition.

Day 5 of waiting for support
Created a website and all was going fine except it will not update the hero section (rest of updates are fine). The tool has a lot of good features I am looking for
-SEO and Analytics
-Keyword Research
-Newsletters
I like the interface and ease of use but need something that reliably updates changes....
Jumped on to chat multiple times (10) no answer. I sent support email 5 days ago and still no answer. Good thing I was just testing the app and not updating a live site. One more day and with no response and I will return the product.
