Q: Hey guys, I just tested Growmatik in a simple installation and am very impressed!

Now I'm wondering how it works in a multisite installation and what about capturing user data since I couldn't find any (or very little) information.

1) Can I activate Growmatik network-wide so that I can e.g. display a popup on all websites of the network or do I have to create and connect each website separately (and thus also create the same automation, popup, etc. xx times)?

2) How are visitors/users who visit multiple sites in the network counted?

3) GDPR: At what moment is user data collected? Directly when visiting the website, or only after, e.g., a popup appears (or possibly an action takes place)?

4) If data is collected directly: which scripts must be blocked so that tracking only takes place after the user's consent?

I appreciate any help you can provide.

A: Hi there,
Thanks for your kind words and your patience while we process your queries.

1. Each site on the network is treated as a separate instance. So you would need to create and activate different rules.

2. Similar to #1, each site on the network is considered a separate instance. So, if a user is visiting two sites, two marketing audiences will be counted.

3. The data is collected starting from the time user enters the site.

4. This is the script that collects the data: https://executor.growmatik.ai/if-then.min.js

As a side note, Growmatik cookies are considered first-party cookies. To simplify, this means that Growmatik sets cookies from the site's domain. Considering this setting in Chrome's privacy: https://take.ms/8dZmV you can open a Growmatik-integrated site on Chrome's incognito mode and see that for example, a popup rule executes without any issues. So, there won't be a problem.
