Q: Welcome to AppSumo!
Please see a few questions below:
1. For 3rd party meeting links, can these be any link? For instance, I use Onestream to "livestream" recorded webinar events on YouTube . Can I use either the YouTube link or the shareable Onestream link instead of say Zoom or Google Meet links?
2. Is the Chat widget similar to a live chat/realtime comments on a Youtube Live video? Would it be possible to just integrate the script for the Chat to a webpage on one of my sites if needed? (Eg. If I'm hosting a webinar or video on a WordPress website by embedding the script from another video-streaming platform, and want to provide some interactivity through Chat for the audience to ask questions during the stream)
3. Do you have your own ticketing solution (including processing payments)? If not, do you plan on integrating with platforms like PromoTix, EventsFrame etc (other deals here on AppSumo)?
4. How robust is your native videoconferencing solution? How many people can be on video simultaneously and what would be the ideal internet speed one would need?
5. Can events be recorded?
Thanks and good luck on your launch!

May 14, 2024A: Hi there!
1. For 3rd party meeting links, can these be any link? For instance, I use Onestream to "livestream" recorded webinar events on YouTube . Can I use either the YouTube link or the shareable Onestream link instead of say Zoom or Google Meet links?
- yes, in the next day or so we're going to allow any third-party link to be nested under a Video Chat tile, meaning the link to any streaming service you have will "open up" to your Guestboard attendees at a date/time you denote. (Most likely the same time as your stream happens)
- Not a real time chat, unfortunately, and our Chat widget lives independently from any streams. It's more helpful to view it as one would a Discord server or Slack Channel - it's just somewhere your guests can go to connect with the attendee community.
3. Do you have your own ticketing solution (including processing payments)? If not, do you plan on integrating with platforms like PromoTix, EventsFrame etc (other deals here on AppSumo)?
- No ticketing solution at the moment, but its on our roadmap :) Most organizers for paid events currently include the invite link to their Guestboard in the confirmation flow of their existing ticketing/registration solution.
4. How robust is your native videoconferencing solution? How many people can be on video simultaneously and what would be the ideal internet speed one would need?
- I touched on this in another answer, but if you choose to use our integrated video solution (powered by open-sourced Jitsi Meet), each scheduled video meeting can support up to 150 concurrent participants.
5. Can events be recorded?
- Jitsi Meet does have a recording function, yes, as do many of the other providers whose links you may import into Guestboard for easy access by your guests

"Most organizers for paid events currently include the invite link to their Guestboard in the confirmation flow of their existing ticketing/registration solution." -- does this mean that registrants would need to create an account at the ticketing account (e.g. EventsFrame, ViewStub, Eventbrite, etc) and then create an account at Guestboard well?
