A: Dear Sumo-ling,

Imagix is also a good service for optimising and delivering images. Gumlet is a new entrant to the market with focus on easy integration. Here are some advantages for choosing Gumlet over Imgix:

- As mentioned in the comments earlier, Imgix uses it's own custom CDN to deliver the images which has about 70 PoPs (point of presence). We use world class AWS CloudFront (216 PoPs) for delivering images which is much more reliable and offers lower latencies.

- Our JS integration plugin does everything automatically for image optimisation Including lazy load. It works with other popular frontend JS frameworks. Gumlet automatically serves lower quality image when lower speed connection is there and also respects save data headers.
Imgix JS just fills srcset and sizes parameters to enable responsive images. This isn't always the best solution.

- We would also provide super fast integration support to make sure best possible image optimisation is implemented for your website.

- Imgix also doesn't have an amazing AppSumo lifetime deal going on ;)

Having said that at this point, Imgix does offer a more functional image manipulation API.

I hope this helps you make the decision.
