I appreciate you queries.
1) Gumlet should work well with Oxygen Builder, or any other WP themes / theme builders. If you face any glitches, we will fix them very quickly.
2) Imgix also charges for processing master images. We provide unlimited master image processing with our pricing.
Also Imgix uses it's own custom CDN to deliver the images which has about 70 PoPs (point of presence). We use world class AWS CloudFront for delivering images which is much more reliable and offers lower latencies.
3) Yes, we provide APIs for clearing cache. You may configure it with your image upload function to clear the cache for that image immediately.
4) Edge location means presence of a caching server. Whenever your images is requested by a user it will be served by the nearest edge location. This reduces the latencies and improves page speed. This is especially important for large files like images.

Oxygen Builder disables the WP themes, so there might be a problem there?
I was wondering if I create a membership site and users upload for example their portfolio images, can I set Gumlet so that it clears automatically cache if the user wants to upload the image again after modifications?
