Q: 1.
You make a lot of claims but I don’t see proof of it on the web
2. Plenty of links on your site don’t work- very unprofessional
3. Explain how signed URLs work. If I paste a URL on a blog is the video automatically embedded? I doubt
4. How do I guarantee that only the people I want watch the video?
5. What do you mean by DRM? Using a floating logo? That’s not DRM

Thanks for sharing further information
1.
https://www.gumlet.com/learn/glossary/video-cms/ is an incorrect link. The correct link https://www.gumlet.com/glossary/video-cms/ is working.
Please let us know where did you find this URL. We will fix it right away. It might be some link posting error.
2. about DRM, can you show me an example of it working? do we need some code to make it work or is it straightforward?
For DRM, you can log in to Gumlet, upload a video, embed it to your test site and check for recording.
Currently, we do not have a public demo for DRM. We will work on creating one and get back to you tomorrow.
The easiest way to test DRM is to try and screen-record Netflix or a similar OTT service. Gumlet will give your videos the same level of protection.
I will reply to this comment when we have a public DRM demo.
I hope this helps.
Hey Diocles,
Thank you for checking out Gumlet!
To address your questions,
1. You make a lot of claims, but I don't see proof of it on the web
I am sorry, but I don't quite understand your question here. All of the features and information are covered across our website (gumlet.com), documentation (https://docs.gumlet.com/) and community portal (https://community.gumlet.com/)
Let us know if we are missing out on anything. We will add it asap.
2. Plenty of links on your site don't work- very unprofessional
Apologies, but again can you please give us examples for links?
We have recently launched our new website and audited it with tools like Ahref and Google Search Console for SEO-related metrics, they did not find any broken links.
Let us know which URL you faced issues with, and we will investigate further.
3. Explain how signed URLs work. If I paste a URL on a blog, is the video automatically embedded? I doubt
A signed URL helps you control how long someone can view / access your video using any URL. Once a URL is signed, it will be viewable / streamable for a limited time
specified by you.
Currently, Gumlet only supports creating signed URLs with API. Please find the documentation here: https://docs.gumlet.com/docs/video-protection#1-signed-url
We are working on bringing this functionality to create a Signed URL from the dashboard. It is part of our Roadmap (https://feedback.gumlet.com/)
Pasting the URL on the blog should embed it automatically as we support Embedly, oEmbed and iFramely. If you don't see it working, please share the blogging platform, and we will correct it asap.
If it is a signed URL that you post, the video will become unviewable after the specified time.
4. How do I guarantee that only the people I want watch the video?
We can help you control who watches your video with our password protection feature. You can share the password with only the selected viewers.
5. What do you mean by DRM? Using a floating logo? That's not DRM
We have
DRM is the highest standard of video protection available in the industry. It prevents video content theft at the hardware / operating system level.
We have written several detailed blogs explaining DRM (https://www.gumlet.com/learn/video-drm/, https://www.gumlet.com/learn/widevine-drm/, https://www.gumlet.com/learn/fairplay-drm/)
DRM is the feature used by most of our Enterprise customers. You can enable DRM on your Gumlet video by clicking a single checkbox (Guide: https://docs.gumlet.com/docs/set-up-drm)
The floating logo has nothing to do with DRM.
You can add a logo to your videos in Gumlet in 2 different ways:
1. Add it to your player (guide: https://docs.gumlet.com/docs/player-customize#logo-url)
2. Or you can burn it on your video while transcoding it (https://docs.gumlet.com/docs/video-transformation-and-overlays#image-overlays)
Please refer to our Documentation and community for more guides and how to.
Feel free to reach out to us by chat or email.

Hi Diocles,
We found the issue with the broken URLs. Due to a software update on our blogging portal (different from our website), some links changed to add additional /learn after the domain. That led to the broken links. We are fixing this asap.
Thanks for bringing this to our notice.
