We HEAVILY rely on their API's. They provide a download endpoint for all videos we have uploaded to their library. Does Gumlet allow video download through API?

Great to hear that you are moving to Gumlet. We have all APIs to download all content that you have uploaded. For your use-case, you can use our get asset API: https://docs.gumlet.com/reference/get-asset-status which will get you all files and then you can easily fire GET request on those URLs to download it. Moreover you also have ability to download the original file uploaded to Gumlet if you ever need it.

Thanks for your interest in moving to Gumlet.
We do provide optimized mp4 files that you can download simply using Curl. Downloading HLS videos is impossible, but you can still use m3u8 playback in your player.
