I am currently using VdoCipher at $200/year and am satisfied with its security — it’s nearly perfect and solves all my concerns listed below. If Gumlet can match these protections, I’m ready to migrate to Gumlet’s highest-tier plan.
1. Screen-recording protection on desktop (e.g. when opening OBS) — does the video go black or otherwise prevent recording?
2. Screen-recording protection on mobile (especially iOS) — does it block screen recording or show 00:00?
3. Strong DRM and anti-download measures to prevent saving the video file.
4. Dynamic watermarking with custom fields (email, full name, phone, passport number, any custom field).
5. Watermark resistance to DevTools (F12) — can the watermark be removed/hidden via DevTools?
6. Movable/rotating watermark (e.g. change position every 15s or on a custom interval).
My stack is Nextjs 15.

1.Screen-recording protection on desktop
Screen recording using tools like OBS cannot be blocked. This is true even for platforms like Netflix—OBS will still capture the screen.
2.Screen-recording protection on mobile:
On mobile devices (including iOS), screen recording is blocked. If someone attempts to record, the captured video will appear as a black screen.
3.DRM & anti-download measures:
The video content is fully encrypted. Even if someone manages to download the file, it will not be playable.
4.Dynamic watermarking with custom fields:
Yes, we support custom watermark texts.
5.Watermark resistance to DevTools (F12):
Yes, our watermark is resistant to tampering. If someone attempts to modify or hide it via DevTools, the player automatically reloads and restores the original watermark.
if anyone changes the iframe src then yes watermark text could change
6.Movable/rotating watermark:
You can fully control the interval at which it changes position.

Thanks for infomation. I accept OBS can recording with Netflix but it's available when hardware accelerated chrome is off. When on, netflix have black screen. Can gumlet working like that?

That’s correct. You can expect the same behavior with Gumlet. If graphic acceleration is enabled, the recorded video will appear as a black screen for Gumlet as well.
