Q: Private videos

You answered:
"All AppSumo tiers include strong privacy and access controls like domain whitelisting, password protection, private links, and geo blocking. These are usually more than enough for secure client sharing and controlled access."
I have purchased Tier-2 now. And what must I read in my account under Video Privacy -> Private?

"Only teammates can access the video in the gumlet dashboard and channel members in member-only channels"

With Tier-2 I have 10 users (Teammates?) and no Channel subscribers.
With Tier-2 I can't use private channels for more than these 10 users? Please explain.

A: Hello there,

Sorry I did not fully understand your question here.
But here is my attempt at explaining:
These feature are part of Tier 2 and provide some level of video protection - domain whitelisting, password protection, private links, and geo blocking

If you explain your video protection use case in more details, I will he able to share how to achieved it.

Best,
Divyesh

1. Can I create private channels?
2. Who has access to this private channel?
3. I can invite users. Are this members or viewer?
4. What are only-member channels, can I create them?
5. Who has access to this only-member channels?
All related to Tier-2

If you want to create private channels and give access to members only using Gumlet's platform, then you will need to upgrade to tier 6, where we provide that feature.

If you do not want to upgrade to tier6. Using features like "unlisted video" and "domain restriction," you would be able to build your own private channel on a platform like WordPress, where you can easily implement a login wall.

Please answer also Point 3.
And what are "private links"? How does this work? I know, you can copy the link and give it someone, but why is it called "private"?

One more question:
Avoid embedding videos? How? Is that the whitelist option? I put my domain on the whitelist and no one (except me/my domain) can embed the video?

Private links refer to links that won't be crawled by a search engine like Google. They can not be guessed or derived by someone unless you specifically with them.

Yes, that is how whitelisting will work. Once you add your domain, your videos won't work on other website if embedded.
