Q: Protection against embedding on domains / downloading
Hi Divyesh,
Thanks for answering the previous questions. I'm torn between Tier 4 (as I want 4k) and Tier 5.
Could you assist with these questions:
1)I want to prevent embedding on all but a few whitelist domains - is there a limit on the amount of domains I can 'whitelist' on each Tier?
2)Digital rights management
a)Could you expand on advantages of having 'Unlimited digital rights management' - is it primarily to deter more technically savy users?
b)Is it possible to do one time purchases of DRM protection for specific videos on Tier 4?
3)CNAME
Are there any advantages of having this if I just want to embed videos on other platforms?
Many thanks,
Matt

Dec 5, 2024A: Hello Matt,
Thank you for your questions.
1. For domain whitelisting, there’s no limit on the number of domains you can whitelist, so you’re covered whether you choose Tier 4 or Tier 5.
2. When it comes to DRM, Tier 5’s unlimited DRM offers top-notch protection, especially against piracy by tech-savvy users. DRM isn’t included in Tier 4, and there’s no option for one-time purchases. Check out our recent webinar to help you understand DRM better - https://gumlet.tv/watch/674ea3535a8822b2de6bc80e
3. As for CNAME, having a custom domain is great for branding, makes your content look professional, and even helps with SEO—even if you embed videos elsewhere. You can get a free CNAME with the Tier 5 Reward for Review program - check out the details here - https://gumlet.notion.site/Gumlet-Black-Friday-Sale-Rewards-14274d8566678088a3b9e682863ed241?pvs=74
I hope this helps!
