Q: What happens if I exceed my bandwidth
Tier 1 has 500 GB of streaming bandwidth.
What happens if I exceed that?
Gumlet doesn't have my credit card or billing info, so I assume I cannot be charged for exceeding the limit, right?

Nov 27, 2024A: Hi,
The system checks streaming usage and waits for a day to clear the invoice or add a card. If that doesn't happen, the system stops the streaming and notifies you. You can reach out to customer support to enable it after adding the card.
There are overage charges for additional GBs.

Thank you. Myself, I don't want any surprise charges, so I'm fine with the streaming stopping when my limit is reached, and then reset and start again the next month. Maybe you can add that as an option? And have a way I can detect that so I can put up some sort of notification for my site users.
Another update:
I checked with our technical team on how the billing and overage work. Here is the correct explanation:
The invoice will get generated for overages even if the card is not added. You will have 20 days to clear up the invoice, if not done, the account will be suspended by the system.
Once you clear the invoice, the account will be active again.
Apologies for the confusion here.
Ok, thank you. Can you please add the functionality to not suspend accounts when there is an overage and instead just stop the streaming? Or send me a notification when I get close to my limit so I can disable things manually? For example, if my limit is 500 GB, allow me to set a limit of say 480 GB and notify me or stop streaming when I exceed the 480GB... just to help prevent an invoice.
Yes. You can setup alerts in the account to know if the bandwidth is about to breach the limit.
We also send notifications when invoice is generated.
