Gumlet Video Reviews

I took gumlet Tier 5 as soon as it appeared in the first Black Friday drop because I'm about to launch an online event with lots of video and the review were great.
So far it has sadly been an utter disappointment. The Google Drive import does not work at all, and now when manually uploading the files have been stuck in upload pending for hours.
The interface looks nice at first glance but still feels in beta when you actually start clicking around.
Support is nonexistent.
Since my event launches next week I will probably have to go to Vimeo. I'm hoping things will improve so I can actually use this tool and increase my tacos.

A Very valuable asset to manage all media.

Improvements needed:

1. More options to embed and a simple way to edit the video player, colors, playbar and settings for each video seperately like in Wistia.

I have been using Gumlet for a while. Initially I had a few difficulties, there were one or two large tutorial files (within the plan limits but large files none the less) which were not uploading, however, the support team at Gumlet was very responsive and quickly activated higher limits within my plan and the matter was successfully resolved. Subsequently, I had a slight problem with setting up DRM encryption, once again the support team at Gumlet was very responsive and resolved this issue (Widevine DRM encryption comes built in, but for Apple devices an Apple/Fairplay developer license is required). The UI/UX since then has improved significantly, file uploads have been smooth and fast. Furthermore, if one does not want to or one can't use a Fairplay license for whatever reasons, one can (1) disable downloads (2) enable dynamic watermarking (3) use signed urls. The video player is good and so far I have not had any issues with video playback. This is without a doubt one of the best purchases I have made on Appsumo and I recommend it enthusiastically for online course creators, content creators etc. as an efficient way to host and stream their content.
The audio quality of some of the Gumlet walk through tutorials on youtube can be improved and I feel that with shorter duration, focused and clearer presentations (just one specific feature per video, approximately 15-20 minutes at most) and with good audio quality, Gumlet will be able to reach an even larger audience.
Someone suggested that Gumlet include storage for other file types, I would agree. A specific problem that I have had is with hosting and embedding pdf files. While there are software solutions which allow embedding pdf files in a pdf viewer, those files can still be downloaded and while there are some DRM solutions to secure pdf files, they are exorbitantly priced. If Gumlet can figure out a clever way to achieve this feature at an affordable rate, it would be a massive additional benefit/feature.
On the whole, I am very happy with the Gumlet Appsumo deal that I purchased and I'd recommend it unhesitatingly. I hope Gumlet continue to provide the same level of product service and support going forward, my Best Wishes to them.

We purchased Gumlet during BF last year. That's when I first heard of them. We purchased the Unlimited bandwidth plan, and heavily used it since then for our programs, replays, etc

I have seen the platform improve immensely since we bought the deal.

Video loading speed is faster than Vimeo, loads and streams faster. So I saved my cost there.

Highly recommended.

I got Gumlet on a previous offer, and it's great.
The UI is good and they improved the platform over time, I'm actually surprised they came back to AS.
Guys, take them up on this offer.

PS: If anyone at Gumlet reads this, please publish another offer for the Images CDN service.
PSS: Oh and if you are feeling "crazy" , please add the option to serve other type of content, such as CSS, JS, Fonts...
