You are comparing yourself with Learnworlds/Thinkific etc, in my opinion champions league players in this sector. My expectations are high ;-)
1. Does the user get his progress displayed ("30% of course completed")?
2. At the next login: will he be shown where to continue ("You stopped here. Click here to continue")?
3. Is there a bookmark functionality for Videos?
4. Which languages are supported (icons, buttons, menu language)?
5. Some code snippets from 3rd party tools require to embed additonal code in the HTML header. Is that possible (e.g. botstar)?
6. Are there any limitations of file attachments (type, size?)
7. GDPR: where are your servers located? Do you offer a DPA to sign? Where is your company located? Could not find any information on your website.
8. How many people are working on this project? Are you a small/big team?
9. Can I swich the language of a course or do I have to create separate courses for each language (regarding info text, documents etc.)?
10. White label: how does setup of own domain (course.owndomain.com) work? Can I do it all by myself in the settings or do you have to do things on your site as well?
11. When users get confirmation emails etc: is it coming from xy@gurucan.com or xy@mydomain.com?
12. Can you point us to a representative demo course?

1 Yes, the progress colored bar is visible on the cover of each enrolled course
2 Nope, we do not provide any pop-up navigation in the users interface, trying to keep it simple. We have a “Continue your courses” section on the dashboard in the web. And in the App it is very visible which courses are in progress.
3 Nope, no bookmarks for videos at the moment
4 Admin panel is available in English and Spanish at the moment, student interface as well and French also. But we can easily implement any language without any additional charges if the translation is provided.
5 Yes, it can be managed in the tech setting in the admin panel
6 No limitations for file attachments, we do have recommendations for video files, but it’s all meets the common sense and fair usage policy

8 Big enough😉 Gurucan was founded in the summer of 2019. We grew together through 500 Startups Program in December of 2019. 100% remote team since February 2020. Keep enjoying the online office and team buildings.

10 Yes, you can link custom domain in settings in the admin panel to fully white label the web version
11 At the moment xy@gurucan.com, but white label emails are coming a little bit later. You also can integrate any SMTP provides via Zapier integrations.

I would like to follow up:
1. GDPR. Might be interesting for other users as well: I just checked, you can download and sign a DPA on Gurucan homepage. Great!
2. I just had a look at the demo, both in web and app. My first impression is: it is very simple, tidy, almost too tidy. As a user, you realize that Gurucan is still at the beginning of the journey.
3. What I noticed right away is that the integrated video player only offers very basic functions: Play/Stop/Fullscreen, nothing else.
What is very important in a LMS from my point of view is missing:
- Show subtitles (learning simultaneously with eyes and ears!)
- Change playback speed (I never watch courses in 1x speed).
- On mobile there is not even the possibility for fast forward within a video.
Are there any further enhancements planned on the part of the player? Currently this literally screams for integration of 3party videoplayers…
4. It would be nice to have an additional area where you can offer transcripts.
5. Can I completely customize the course pages with HTML (color, background image, fonts...) ?
6. I had trouble enrolling in the course via app. I first enrolled in a wrong course that was also called "Fatburners" (typed it in manullay in app). Only after I scanned the QR code was I in the correct course. You should adjust that. I don't want my participants to end up in wrong courses that are named the same as mine.

Video player: yes, will improve it and already working on it. That’s why we have YouTube/Vimeo/Wistia embedded as well. Thanks for the comments, all noted!
Customization with HTML is not possible due to the reason, that all the content is automatically available on the web and in the app. It just ruins the concept of cross platform access. We kind of a fans of mobile learning and believe in it deeply😉
Thanks for sharing the experience about log in process, I will take it into consideration. We actually are thinking on how to simplify it.
